A hazy orange beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with hints of citrus, while the flavor is sour like citrus-fruits combined with some malt sweetness.

An unclear light yellow beer with a disappearing white head. The aroma is of citrus and wheat, while the flavor is sweet malty and again with notes of wheat and citrus. Not my thing.

A hazy yellow beer with a huge beige head. The aroma is sweet hoppy combined with notes of lemongrass. The flavor is sweet spicy with notes of hops and lemongrass - it is somewhat artificial. The end is dry hoppy.

[Cask at Volunteers Arms, GBBF, 2004] An orange beer with a small white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and yeast. The flavor is more complex; sweet with notes of caramel, yeast, and oranges.

Bottle conditioned, 500 ml, bought at Memorable Cheeses, Ipswich. Batch No. 040510atpp. Pours with next to none head, beer is totally flat with no carbonation whatsoever. Very dark reddish brown colour. Nice aroma of roasted malts, coffee and leather. Flavour is lightly roasted malts and lemons. Acidic and thin mouthfeel. Unremarkable aftertaste. Drinkable, but disappointing.

Bottle conditioned, batch no. 040812arw. Bought at Memorable Cheeses in Ipswich. This fruit beer is an unfiltered and bottle conditioned wheat lager, not an ale. Cloudy golden colour (I poured the yeast in). Aroma and flavour are prickly and tart raspberries on a wheat background, not too sweet. Rather bitter finish. Not bad.

Bottled. Near black and perfectly flat. Rounded, clean mouthfeel. Near flavourless, with only vague hints of acid and toffee. Seems to me like the bottle conditioning never happened. because surely they did not intend the beer to be this way?

(Cask) Pale-amber, clear; 2cm white head. Nose of sewage, some hops, but AWFUL! Very bitter - not really hoppy, rather a bit metallic. Caramel retronasal. Thinnish, light . A beer with such a smell is bound to be condemned. Too bad - but if you presume brewing German Weisse, and manage NONE of the characteristics right!
