Opaque dark brown beer. Light palate, a little watery. Tangy and minerally with a thin mouthfeel. A little fruit. This is like a lightweight Porter. Not terrible but lacking body, weight and substance.

Opaque black brown beer. Light marmite nose. Zero carbonation. Slight soft palate. Tangy porter like dark malt. Lots of cocoa dark chocolate and a splah of marmite. Well joined up but let down by a total lack of carbonation.

Not a good looking beer - cloudy brown with lumps of sediment or something. Untidy suddy head. Smells a bit sulphurous. Palate is crisp. Sour dry fruits with a nasty soap tastes. Wrong, wrong, wrong! Yeeeeuch!

Bottled. Hazy deep ambery brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is sour wooden, fruity, mild dark berries, some ashes as well as some mild liquorice. Flavour is dark berries, fruits, some tart coffeeish notes as well as some mild roasted and ashy notes. Quite mouthdrying. Could be slightly oxodized due to some of the slight sourness in it.

Cask gravity at GBBF 2010. Gold with thin beige head. It’s got some fruit salad. Not much condition. It’s got some fruit, touch of biscuit. But really not fantastic. Poor, but mostly due to the condition.
