Bottle picked up from Mr Hop webshop, Vernray Netherlands. Consumed at Frank, Studentenstadt, München Sunday 7th December 2025 after a wonderful day out with Jude and Baz. Pours black without a head, or if there was a head it didn't last long. Thickness in the mouth, taste is erring towards a stout, yeah I get the strong ale but a first I wasn't thinking along those lines, I guess the barrel ageing threw me as well. Raisins steeped in alcohol springs to mind, alongside quite a chocolate hit, also a little boozy. Very good. Score 7.4

Can day 4 from Mr Hop advent calendar, from the webshop, Vernray Netherlands. Consumed at apartment in Straubing Wednesday 3rd December 2025 in the company of Jude and Baz after a lovely evening of Christmas market and Glühwein drinking. Pours hazy yellow with a mid sized white head. Really quite citric, hoppiness is apparent from the off. Nice mouthfeel, zappy but not completely doing it for me. Score 6.6

Picked up from a 12 bottle box Kalea? from Globus. Plattling, €13. Consumed at home Wednesday 3rd December 2025 in the company of Jude. We changed our mind from Pasta with Gorgonzola and Walnuts to a cheese board. Listening to Jon Hopkins - Singularity. We changed our mind from Pasta with Gorgonzola and Walnuts to a cheese board. Pours mid gold, there is a little bit of haze and a mid sized white head. Aroma is quite clean and fresh. Soft mouthfeel, not as crisp as expected, flavour is easy going, a bit malty but not too in depth, background bitterness that builds. Quite good, score 6.4

Day 3 of the advent calendar that I curated for Loz's. Consumed at home Wednesday 3rd December 2025 in the company of Jude. We changed our mind from Pasta with Gorgonzola and Walnuts to a cheese board. Listening to Ela Minus and now Jon Hopkins. Pours mid gold, good looker with a huge white head. Nice aroma, a little floral with a little bit of peachiness and fresh grass. Easy drinking and smooth but there's a nice crispness, fresh and with a nice citrus touch.

Picked up from a 12 bottle box Kalea? from Globus. Plattling, €13. Consumed at home Wednesday 3rd December 2025 in the company of Jude. We changed our mind from Pasta with Gorgonzola and Walnuts to a cheese board. Ela Minus and now Jon Hopkins - Ritual. Pours almost clear gold with a white head, but there's a tiny bit of a haze. Clean, crisp and fresh, this is better than I expected. Nicely bitter, I would happily drink this regularly, solid Pils. Score 7.0

Day 3 of the Mr Hop webshop, Vernray Netherlands. Consumed at home Wednesday 3rd December 2025 in the company of Jude. We have Pasta with Gorgonzola and Walnuts later. Listening to Just Mustard - We Were Just Here. Pours murky dirty orange with a white head that swiftly subsided. Ferociously hoppy, thick in the mouth, a little bit fierce, it's a bit tropical but wow quite in yer face. I quite like this but it seems quite removed from a triple, difficult to believe that's the base beer before the crazy dry hopping. Score 6.8

Bottle picked up from Äpfel Getrankemarkt Moosburg and consumed at home Wednesday 3rd December 2025 in the company of Jude. We have Pasta with Gorgonzola and Walnuts later. Listening to Chairlift - Does You Inspire Me. Pours almost clear light amber with the slightest of haze. There's a little barnyard on the nose, some light warm grass there's also a little hoppiness. Light maltiness with a spritzy edge, a little grainy edge. Fine. Score 6.4
