This was Loz's Day 10 beer from the advent calendar I curated for her. Had this Wednesday 10th December 2025 listening to New Music Fix with Nathan Shepherd and Deb Grant on 6Music after Gorgonzola and Walnuts with Penne Pasta for tea tonight. Pours hazy sunshine gold actually it's heading towards orange, mid size white head. A touch on the sweet side, Loz gets perfume and yeah sort of with her on that, a little bit tropical and also get some sweetshop vibes with flavoured marshmallows. I wasn't a fan initially but it grew in me a bit. Score 6.4

This was my Day 7 beer from my Mr Hop advent calendar, picked up from the webshop, Vernray, Netherlands. Had this Wednesday 10th December 2025 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music and still thinking about cooking Gorgonzola and Walnuts with Penne Pasta. I pick up a bit of vanilla, it's got a nice spicy edge to it. Looks wise it's mid hazy with a white head, it's filmy after dropping quickly. Nice mouthfeel, there is a little buzz, a little slow build of bitterness. This is quite good, however the can art looks horribly AI. Score 6.9

Day 9 of my Mr Hop advent calendar, picked up from the webshop, Vernray, Netherlands. Had this Wednesday 10th December 2025 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music and about to cook Gorgonzola and Walnuts with Penne Pasta. Pours dark brown with a busy but rapidly subsiding light cappuccino coloured head. Nice mouthfeel, lots of dark fruits, caramel and with a spicy edge. Good winter ale and would be nice to sip near a roaring fire when it's very cold outside, which is exactly what I'm doing today, sadly the snow has mostly disappeared. Score 6.8

Picked up from a 12 bottle box Kalea? from Globus. Plattling, €13. Consumed at home Tuesday 9th December 2025 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music. We had a simple tea of Spaghetti Bolognese after a busy few days away with Jude and Baz in Straubing and Regensburg and then in München meeting Bavarian Bluebirds last night and Jonas and Ursula on Sunday. Pours hazy deep yellow with a fast disappearing white head. Fairly typical wheat beer, lacks a little bit of definition, soft on the mouth, easy drinking, could be a bit bolder with wheaty characteristics but it's absolutely fine, yeastiness is apparent as is a little citrus but just needs to be a bit forward.

Can day 5 of Loz's bier advent calendar. Had this Tuesday 9th December 2025 listening to Huw Stephens on 6Music. We had a simple tea of Spaghetti Bolognese after a busy few days away with Jude and Baz in Straubing and Regensburg and then in München meeting Bavarian Bluebirds last night and Jonas and Ursula on Sunday.  Pours hazy yellow with a mid sized white head. Quite sweet after the pils that I've just had, actually allowing for the mouth swish, it's still quite sweet. There's a little honey edge to this. Hoppiness is muted, it's okay without ever wowing me. Score 6.0

Can day 9 of Loz's bier advent calendar. Pours hazy yellow with a mid sized sticky white head. This is fab' passion fruit and grapefruit combine in a nice citrus and tropical fruit love-in, also not forgetting there's a little melon here. Nice mouthfeel with a steady buzz, hoppiness builds, great beer considering this is a style that I am indifferent about. Score 7.8

In the mouth there's a pleasant biscuit maltiness, middling to light bitterness, a bit of bread on the nose, nice. Score 7.0
