Can day 12 of my Mr Hop beer advent calendar, picked up from the webshop Vernray Netherlands, Thursday 18th December 2025 after Loz met her friend Chimo at Deggendorf Weihnachts and we had a Glühwein and Eierlikör, we then headed to Otto's. Loz gets Tonka, vanilla, chocolate and I'm agreeing to an extent, there's a little bit of spice also and caramel. This is very nice, okay it's a tad on the sweet side but nothing like a Vault City beer. Score 7.6

Day 15 from Mr Hop Beer advent calendar, purchased from the webshop, Vernray, Netherlands. We had a homemade Thomasina Miers Picadillo Chilli for tea. Had this after a couple of days away in München with day trips to Salzburg and Rosenheim (Fin only, Loz was at work). Pours hazy mid yellow, slight thickness in the mouth, sweetness but a good hoppiness throughout, light warmth, a little tropical juiciness, really enjoyed this. Score 7.6

Can from Loz's advent calendar that I curated for her, this was yesterday's beer, so Day 16. We had a homemade Thomasina Miers Picadillo Chilli for tea. Had this after a couple of days away in München with day trips to Salzburg and Rosenheim (Fin only). Nice hoppy nose, good mouthfeel, crisp, clean. light fruitiness. Colour is light/mid yellow, slight haze, sticky white head. Fabulous session strength IPL.

On tap at Gasthaus Stockhammer, Rosenheim Wednesday 17th December 2025. Poured into a Krug so difficult to ascertain exact colour however it appears to be a Heller Bock, light mid gold with a white head. Nice beer abv not in yer' face, soft mouthfeel, sweet maltiness. Good beer, however yesterday's Augustiner Salzburg Bock edges this.

Can picked up from Walther Mai, München and consumed the same say, Tuesday 16th December 2025, at our Premier Inn after a day in Salzburg for me. Pours pitch black with a slim beige head, mostly just a rim of tiny bubbles actually. Taste is initially sweet, barrel ageing very noticeable as is the coffee infusion, however the bourbon wins out, just! Smooth and with a little boozy warmth, nice slightly oiliness in texture, good Impy' Stout. Score 7.8

Had this at Augustiner Braugasthof Krimpelstätter, Salzburg Tuesday 16th December 2025. Difficult to determine the colour as it's served in a krug, however I suspect that it's dark brown with an off white head. Quite a bit of chocolate and caramel initiall, particularly chocolate, soft mouthfeel, great carbonation, spot on in fact. Really like this, it's a very decent Bock.

On tap at the brewpub in Plattling, Monday 15th December 2025, after a complete debacle trying to get parked at the station, but DB parking machine not working and parking app also failed. We have eventually parked at the Wohnmobilstellplatz. Anyway this is our first time in here because the opening hours haven't worked for us until now, it's busy tonight and we're on the Stammtisch. Pours hazy yellow with a mid/large sized white head, ticks the Hefeweisse boxes, a bit of millpond aroma amongst the banana and wheatiness, both doesn't detract, mouthfeel good, perhaps could carbonation could last a bit longer and it's ever so slightly sweet, otherwise pretty good.
