Cask handpump at The Weavers, Malvern we had this in the company of Mum and Keith Wednesday 22nd October 2025. Pours clear warm gold with a slim white head, nicely bitter and fruity, slight dryness at the end. Simple, straightforward, not amazing but well kept, it's really in a very nice condition.

Visiting Mum and Keith and we took a short trip to Tewkesbury Tuesday 21st October 2025, once again the recent rating from Chris prompting my visit.

This is super easy to find and in all likelihood the most centrally located of all the Tewkesbury pubs. It's near the central mini roundabout that leads up to the motorway, down to the Abbey then Gloucester and in the other direction to Worcester/Upton/ Ledbury. It's one of many very historic buildings in Tewkesbury and another black and white gem. I cannot believe that I've never been here before, I worked around here a lot many, many years ago and our company was based in nearby Brendon and then at the industrial estate just over the Motorway so was very familiar with the town but this has eluded me.

Inside it's lovely, it's narrow, cosy and a multi roomed layout, with the bar immediately on the left on entering and additional rooms and toilets further back. The beers were mostly local but offering a nice range of styles and abvs, all cask gravity, mostly pins and with cooling blankets. I settled for a half of Tewkesbury Pale Ale which was wonderfully bitter, crisp and hoppy, my first from them and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The barman was friendly enough and pleasant and clearly knew his stuff. We got chatting to a local who was telling us a little about the place, layout, history and the beer offerings. I agree with Chris, if I lived local, this would probably be my local, it ticks all the right boxes. Really glad we dropped in here and pleased that Chris had rated it recently.

Can picked up from Pentrich brewery and posted to Dad's. Had this Tuesday 21st October 2025 after a visit to Stourport on Severn and then Tewkesbury. We had 'Marry Me Pork Meatballs' for tea and then me and Keef went to see Worcester City FC v Bromsgrove Sporting FC at Sixways, Worcester won 3-0. Pours pitch black, shark eye black with a slim beige head. Sticky mouthfeel, bitter, roasty, liquor and then the ice cream party starts but it's actually more bitter and liquorice though the lactose adds a lot. It's a good beer.

Can courtesy of Jonas, cheers Jonas! Had this Tuesday 21st October 2025 after a visit to Stourport on Severn and then Tewkesbury. We've got 'Marry Me Pork Meatballs' for tea and then me and Keef are off to see Worcester City FC v Bromsgrove Sporting FC at Sixways. Pours hazy yellow/gold with a large white head. Tropical flavours abound with hints of pineapple and melon, sweetish but not overly juicy. Good

On tap, cask handpump at The Black Bear, Tewkesbury Tuesday 21st October 2025 in the company of Mum and Keith. Pours mid amber with a little haze and creamy textured white head. Simple but well executed bitter, solid, pleasant bite, a little rustic and earthy, hoppiness appears to be traditional english, light fruitiness. Good.
