Can consumed at Hereford Beer House Saturday 18th October 2025 in the company of Baz and Isobel. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head. A very good festbier in truth it's a bit on the bitter side for the style but I actually like that, it's edgy with a good mouthfeel, there's a streaky citrus touch. Good but maltiness is definitely taking a back seat here.

Can picked up from Hereford Beer House and consumed at Jude and Baz's, Spond, nr Kington, Herefordshire Friday 17th October 2025, shared with Baz. Had this in the company of Keith, David, Annasley, Georgia and the kids. Pours black in colour with a slim off-white head. The peanut butter wins out in the nose and batters all other elements into submission, ok there is a little chocolate and caramel as well but it's not holding up to the mighty peanut butter. Flavour following a similar trajectory, mostly peanut butter, it's smooth easy drinking and after the 15% beast from Omnipollo a short time ago this is much more measured. It's a rich beer, nice soft mouthfeel and whilst not up there with the best that Hoppin' Frog do, it's nonetheless still a v.good beer.

Bottle picked up from Beyond Beer webshop Hamburg and consumed at Jude and Baz's, Spond, nr Kington, Herefordshire Friday 17th October 2025, shared with Baz. Had this in the company of Keith, David, Annasley, Georgia and the kids. Pours pitch black with a head that swiftly departed. There's lots of coconut, along with vanilla and do I get marshmallow, mmhh.... not sure but plenty of chocolate, particularly on the nose. As expected from Omnipollo this is a triumph, okay it's a little sweet but otherwise ticks all the right boxes. .

Bottle picked up at Fristo, Freising IIRC, and consumed at Jude and Baz's, Spond, nr Kington, Herefordshire Friday 17th October 2025. Pours gold, good clarity, white head, however carbonation lacking a little. Sweet honey and malt on the nose, silky mouthfeel, bitterness is very subtle, taste is a tad one dimensional and as already mentioned carbonation lacking otherwise it's another decent beer from Weiherer.

I visited here Wednesday 15th October 2025 after a train journey from my dad's in Derby. It's about 15-20 minutes walk from the train station, however for those driving there are at least 2-3 carparks very close. It's also close by to the Hereford Beer House which is less than a five minute walk away around the corner. It's located close to the cathedral do quite close to the centre.

It's outside appearance is quite deceptive, it didn't look so big but on entering it's not exactly sprawling but one of those layouts where they've tried to open it up but of course basic things like structural support means it certainly can't be be properly open plan. You walk through seating areas, carpeted floors, low'ish ceilings to the rear and the bar is on the right with a modern digital display board highlighting the beer selection. It's more airy and light in here, toilets off beyond this and I am not sure but there may have been a patio/garden outside.

There must have been at least twelve cask offerings and I had a jubilee IPA and it was in great nick, unusually for me I had a pint and enjoyed a pint as opposed to a half. It was a Wednesday, it was lunchtime so it was mostly pensioners and me, the old couple opposite were moaning about everything so I put my headphones on and was relieved to see the Guardian on offer to read, so read that.

Nice pub, friendly barman/landlord, very nice beer, only real downside was carpets (but that's my issue) would recommend this place on a beer crawl of the town.

Bottle numberer 03481 of 14,300. I picked up from Waitrose, Hereford and consumed around Jude's Thursday 16th October 2025 whilst looking after Ezra and Jasper. Pours deep amber good clarity, white head, looks good. Aroma is sweet malty, caramel and rich cakey fruits there's a hint of classic UK hops, not sure which ones they've used but I suspect the usual suspects and it's a nice aroma. Taste following a similar trajectory, toffee and caramel combine it's got a clear oomph, so a touch boozy, warming and with a nice fruitiness but with a little tangy edge. Good beer, liked it but perhaps a few months or longer in the bottle (it's got a 5 year BBD) will soften the edges and see this mellow into a classic winter warmer.
