Bottle picked up from Mr Hop, webshop Venray, Netherlands and consumed Saturday 15th November 2025 the first anniversary of Bob's passing. We had a Greek feast tonight, Souvlaki, Greek Salad, Deep Fried Mussels with Skordalia and Lemony Potatoes, then a long video call with Scott and Mandy. Pours a brownish colour, there's a slight haze, light beige head. Spicy nose with a little maltiness, some caramel both on the nose and in the mouth, also a little heavy on liquorice and some cinnamon which has a slight numbing effect. It's quite good but not really doing it for me.

Pours very dark brown verging on black with a light tan head. Mostly chocolate on the nose and in the mouth but there's also a significant amount of licorice.andca light touch of spiciness like you get with speculoos. Good but not amazing.

Bottle picked up direct from Mr Hop, Venray, Netherlands and consumed Friday 14th November 2025 (Loz's birthday) we had a Fish Finger sandwich for tea tonight, listening to Afrodeutscha on 6Music. Pours mid brown with a decent sized off white head, actually it's more v.light beige. Hints of the Irish whisky on the nose and a little toffee and caramel. Full on and with some warmth from the significant above, at first I wondered is there a very slight sour tinge, but this subsided after a few sips..Not quite as smooth as hoped, there's a rich fruitiness it's very much in the English style of barley wine as opposed to a more hop forward American one. It's ok, but I was rather hoping that it'd be better than ok.

Pours dark brown with with a filmy off white head. There's a little cola and even some liquorice, soft mouthfeel, nice carbonation, fine but not as good as hoped.

Bottle picked up from mmhh.... let me think, mayber Appel Getranke, Moosburg. Consumed at home, Monday 10th November 2025 listening to Steve Lamaqs Evening Session on 6Music after a Celeriac, Carrot & Mushroom Pie with Mash, Cabbage and Red Onion Gravy. Pours Gold almost clear but there is a very slight haze, mid sized white head, taste is really boring, a little metallic, some grassy touches, thin, watery and really very little to write home about, dull as ditch water, which to be fair it might as well be.

Bottle picked up from Mr Hop, Vernray, Netherlands and consumed at home Saturday 8th November 2025 after a hard day working in the garden and a very nice Dishoom - Keema Pau (Loz made it, I helped), just had a Zoom chat with John now listening to Kelly Lee Owens 132 Techno. Pours pitch black with a cappuccino coloured head, sticky, oily texture and the nose.... woah this is all about the coffee, and taste also. It could have been super sticky and it's a bit like that but so much coffee and yeah bitter roasty malts. Super soft mouthfeel, yeah it's a bit sweet but fuck man, coffeetastic.

Can picked up from a Fristo Getrankemarkt Freising. Had this at home Wednesday 5th November 2025, Bonfire 🔥 night after a Chilli con Carne. Pours hazy mid gold, tart, sour, tangy. a sharp, zippy, citrus vibe throughout. Sour beers rank a bit low on my beer preference scale but I ended up enjoying this more than I expected to.

Can picked up from a Dutch Supermarket in Vernray, Netherlands, I am quite sure it was Jumbo, yeah definitely was. Had tis at home Wednesday 5th November 2025, Bonfire 🔥 night after a Chilli con Carne. Pours hazy yellow with a mid sized sticky white head. Tastes a little safe, I get the whole West Coast Cold IPA vibe they're going for and whilst this is quite good I did just notice that by next Thursday 14th November it will be past it's BBD as brewed 14.11.24. nice soft mouthfeel, soft peachy fruitiness, there's a lazy lingering bitterness. Quite good but could have been a little bit crisper.

Bottle picked up from Pablo's Getränkemarkt, München and consumed at home Tuesday 4th November 2025 after a visit to Parsberg, Regensburg and Plattling with short walks around all three. Listening to ByteFM, we have a homemade Pastisio with Greek Salad for tea tonight. Pours warm gold/light amber, hazy with a white head. I rather liked this and found that the chilli, pepper and whatever else is in this was actually contributing quite nicely and more subtle than expected. There's a pleasant bite, it's smooth, there are flashes of floral things going on here and it drinks very easily for 8.5%, wow cannot believe that it's that strong. This is v.nice.

Bottle picked up from Fristo Getrankemarkt, Marktheidenfeld and consumed at home Tuesday 4th November 2025 after a visit to Parsberg, Regensburg and Plattling with short walks around all three. Listening to ByteFM, we have a homemade Pastisio with Greek Salad for tea tonight. Pours dark brown, muddy actually more of a hazy appearance and an off white head that didn't last so long. Some sweetness, malty with a little dried fruit and a pleasant sat by the hearth in front of a fire warming quality to it. Nice
