It's out on an industrial estate about 10 minutes' walk from Stourbridge Junction station. Make sure you go into the green door onRufford Road (before you get to the estate), thereby saving yourself some pointless trekking around. Now, Green Duck Beer in my opinionis pretty good - not great but good - with occasional moments of pushing the boat out. The taproom was amazing, deckes out with wood flooring and long tables, abetted by the hum of conversation.with 8 kegs and 7 cask (the Bostin' mild was duplicated) and a small handful of available cans. Obviously loads to try here, just be aware of the very limited hours so don't come too late. A must? Yeah, I think so.

Handpull cask at the Waggon & Horses, Stourbridge. Light gold, a little bit of haze with a thin white head. Aroma of dill, floral notes, some citrus. Sweet taste with melon, savoury cooking herbs, with some citrus hop bitterness in the long finish. Velvety body with carbonation kept at bay. Great stuff.

Brilliant little boozer just outside of Stourbridge. Two traditional bars, plus a slightly posher bar out to the back. Five decent cask beers on, including offerings from Purple Moose, Wilde Child and Electric Bear. If this weren’t enough, their are eight keg taps on the back bar (the list is to the left part of the front bar and is a bit hidden) with mostly mid-strength beers from DEYA, Verdant, Pomona Island. Cask is in wonderful condition. One to seek out.

Decent little Black Country Ales pub, long but not very deep front room. Bar has the usual array of beers from Sharps, Fownd, Hobsons and Salopian in addition to the house beers. Cider in the form of Old Rosie and SeaCider Honeycomb. It’s a pleasant enough place, and my Hobsons pale ale is in excellent nick. Average prices. Good music (ELP, Iron Butterfly, Madness). They don’t quite push the boat out like they used to, but BCA pubs are still a pretty good bet. And this one is no exception.

Handpull cask at the Queens Head, Stourbridge. Very light gold, maybe a little haze left over, with a tight off-white head. Lovely aroma, some stone fruit, vanilla, pink grapefruit, and hint of melon. Bittersweet taste with lots of grapefruit, followed by a bitter finish - hoppy rather than astringent. Smooth body with low to medium carbonation. Man, they nailed this.
