Clear dark golden pour with a thick foamy ivory white head that dissipates gradually to a film. Short strings of lace. The aroma consists of grassy hops, citrus and malt. Medium body with flavors of grassy hop, grapefruit and bready malt. The finish is moderately bitter with a citrusy hop aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Sample at Tomahawk Warrior’s First Birthday party on 06/06/2015: Pours a clear deep brown color with ruby around the edges. Medium thick foamy tan head that diminishes slowly. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, hazelnut and bourbon. Full-bodied and sticky with a sweet hazelnut and malt character, plus a warming booze and chocolate flavor. The finish is roasty with a nutty bourbon aftertaste. Gimmicky yes, but really good.

Sample at Tomahawk Warrior’s First Birthday party on 06/06/2015: Brown-black pour with a medium foamy tan head that dissipates gradually. Patches of lacing on the glass. The aroma is oaky with malt, chocolate and vine fruit notes. Full-bodied with flavors of chocolate malt, vinous oak, dark fruit and caramel. The finish is sweet but dried out a little thanks to the treatment. Boozy with an oaky and malty aftertaste. Good sipping beer all around.
