I'm a retired American Luddite and a refugee of the notorious 2018-2024 Ratebeer - Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

I really like pretzels with my macro lagers so I was looking forward to this brew. Pour from a can is fairly clear pale. Nose is certainly pretzel like, heavy, interesting and unique. Lots of bready, may I say pretzel, flavor on the uptake. Yes, the flavor is quite grainy, malty and biscuity. Different would not be a good enough word to describe this beer. The pretzel aroma really starts to get up yer nose in the middle, overwhelming the olfactory. Even tho I can't really pick out the salt, I would say this really does have some pretzel flavor in there. But; in the end, there is nothing like the chewy crunchy and salty feel and texture of a real pretzel with your beer.

From a can the look is big and black with a nice thick tan head. It has a friendly burnt malty nose. The feel is mild carbonation, could use more. Taste has some burnt roasted taste with a mild slag background, can't feel the wild ale attributes. A little more wild ale would make this much better. Some farmy notes in there as well. Overall a good example of a well made lower alky dry stout. Good job noble. I liked this.

On tap at the source as a nitro, beautiful rolling pour; eye candy ! Slight haze on honey colored pale. Odd off farmy nose with unidentifiable spice. A little bit of rubber and vinegar on the olfactory as well. No co2 of course. Rubber and some bitterness on the first taste, seems a little messy. Yes, some coffee but the chocolate is hard to find. Quite different and unique, even for a white stout. Not sure of this one.

Tap at source. Picture here makes this beer look darker than it is. Its actually just clear pale. Nose is neutral. Initial mildly sweet taste. Just a tad of co2, may need more. Maybe a hint if ale effects in this lager. Certainly in the macro pale lager vein but a tad more personality in this brew. I'd say its probably more like a premium lager. Not bad, overall pretty refreshing for a lager lover.

On tap at the source. Brown and clear, photo here makes it look darker than it really is. Spices very apparent on the olfactory. No head, mild pumpkin spices nose. Initially on the tongue, pumpy spices are quite balanced. A little co2 but in the middle the spices tend to even out. Not as heavy on the spice as in many other spiced pump beers. Smoother and even keeled thru the middle. A tad of cloying on the finish.
