Retired American Luddite and refugee of the 2018-2024 Ratebeer/Anheuser-Busch (InBev) fiasco. Thanks Brewver for the chance to continue rating! ....... and yes, I'll soon be a supporter! ........ Since 1968, I've enjoyed all kinds of cheap macro pale lagers, starting with Carling Black Label bottles I found in Grampa Gino's wine cellar! Later, my dad had faves like Old Mil, Strohs, Bud, Coors Light and Piels! They were all good for a budding youngster like me. My ratings aren't to style, but how much I liked it. Thus, my fave styles; lambic, wild & flemish, rate much higher than IPA since I don't like bitter hoppy beers. You like IPA? The lower my IPA rating, the better according to style! There, you have it! Easy peezy, no worries!

2$ can from chalet. Pour is a somewhat darker orangish pale. Creamy off white head. Nose is fairly fresh hops, perhaps some metallic pine. First taste is a building bitter bite, almost that of an IPA. Yea, you can tell this is a straight up american style ale fer sher. After each slug you get this fairly sharp bitter bite that hangs around for a while. Almost astringent but its not quite there. Some odd pine off lemon taste building as the session continues. Not pleasant, but has a desired calming effect. There you have it, would not buy again but good for a tick.

Can for 2$ at chalet. Pour is quite hazy with a nice creamy head that fades to a film. Nose is girlie perfumy excessively sweet hops of some sort, not too attractive for a 'beer'! Taste is rude crude and bitterly sweet. Yes, that perfume character really carries over into the taste. Nasty nellie; think about somebody putting perfume onto a bitter unripe green grapefruit rind and then chewing up that combo in yer mouth. Blah blah black sheep. Yea, I'm not diggen this perfumey IPA BS thing that's popular as of late, must be en vogue. Stupid fad if you ask me, but hey, I'm just a lowly macro pale lager lover, what else can be said? The Leiny Lemon Haze IPA was better than this, and that aint saying much. There, you have it from the horses pale lager mouth.

2$ can from chalet premier. Pour is slight haze on light pale. Constant streams of bubbly co2 inside, nice show. Mild fresh citrus note. First taste is also friendly notes of citrus. Every so slight, what seems to be, noble hop bitterness, but never in yer face. I'm not convinced this is a helles style. I'd say its more of a blonde lager of some sort. On brewver, I'd put it into the premium lager style since there is no blonde lager. Very friendly on the quaffable scale. Easy-going, pleasant and uncomplicated. This session was welcoming, cordial, amiable, approachable, affable, genial, harmonious & cooperative.

2$ can from chalet. Pour is slightly cloudy dirty pale. Sweet mild spiced nose. Taste is certainly cider but has a backup of spices as well. Maybe some cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, star anise, cardamom, and allspice. Together, gently balanced, they seem to sing a warming, aromatic, and slightly sweet song. Good level of co2 along with a tad of tartness goes well in the session. Much better than those spiced ales which are so popular. Easy to take, not very dry. Very good cider drinking experience. Pleasantly surprised. Maybe a slight warming sensation o the finish.

2$ can from chalet. Pour is slightly hazy light orange tinted yellow pale. No head. Nose is odd off vinegar aroma. First taste is certainly tart, and it is in a mild lambic sort of way. Yes, wild ale fer sher. I just hope it actually is a wild brew. I do get the lime in there, but the berry and cherry is actually difficult to identify. Acceptable tart brew for me. Not bad but, the wifey said it reminds her a bit of vomit? LoL. Just a reminder, she don't care for beer of any sort. I just let her have a taste when I'm having a session and she's present, hehehh.

2.5$ can from vintage estate. Pour is clear pink, looks like bubbly rose wine. Mild berry on apple cider nose. First taste is cider, very little if any sweetness. Nice. Mild berry background increases towards the middle. Its dry, yet its friendly. Good cutting co2. Nifty to have a domestic cider that is more on par with the real stuff from the old country. This is nothing like those fru fru fruity sweet woodchuck things. Bout time somebody domestic made some real cider and not a fruit flavored drink. Good job there OS. Yep, more like a fine biubbly wine.

Small pony can, called a mini ripper, I guess. When I pour, its very friendly smelling sweet hop perfume. Looks like lemonade. Small scummy ring for a head. Taste is like candy of some sort backed up with a medium bitter hop substrate. Reminds me of those fake cigarettes I used to get as a kid. Not attractive. Slight warming sensations down the throat. Some co2, yet still a little mouth coating. Oh well, NB is making a killing off this voodoo genre. All they do is barely change the flavor and retool the label and away it goes to the market. I swear I've taste 10-15 of these voodoos and they all pretty much taste the same. Go figger. I guess that's great for ticken whores like me?
