Can from Great Grog. Hazy deep golden body with a thick off-white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of papery malt, black pepper and orange pith. Flavour follows the aroma - peppery and orangey. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Light fizz. This is rough around the edges but quite enjoyable. It’s not really a west coast IPA at all.

Can from Aldi. Hazy golden body with a white head that slowly fades. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of orange barley, lemon and ginger. Flavour of sugar, ginger and a squeeze of grapefruit. Thin body with a slick texture. Light fizz. This is tasty and less fiery/intense than the orange version (which I also liked).

Can from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy golden body with a white head. No visible carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of kiwi, mango, dragonfruit and bubblegum. Flavour of mandarin and floral hops. Medium body with a smooth mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is up there with Verdant’s finest IPAs. Nelson Sauvin with Nectaron is such a good hop combo.
