Bottle@ home. Pitch black body under a small beige head, slightly oily consistence. Strong and delicious aroma, lots of dark roasted malt, dry fruit, dark chocolate, some coffee, hint of vanilla and wood with a distinct alcoholic profile from aquavit. Taste is sweet and alcoholic with dark roasted malt, chocolate, dry fruit, wood, good bitterness, hint of vanilla and boozy aquavit. Full bodied with a fine, warming and endless lasting aftertaste. A solid and bold beer indeed, a delicious beer for sipping, just balancing on the edge of ‘too much’ but somehow managing to make a balance on the right side between overkill and amazing.

Backlog March 2008. Bottle. Dark reddish brown body under a dense beige head. Aroma has malt, soil and bark. Taste is sweet, strong malt, some dry fruit, bitterness and warming alcohol. Medium body with a malty backbone. Drinkable but not the best dunkel bock I have tasted.

Backlog March 2008. Bottle. Golden body under a small white head. Aroma feels like very sweet malt. Taste is actually very sweet malt with a distinct alcohol sting. Medium body and sweet malty aftertaste. Not very impressive.

Backlog March 2008. Bottle. Reddish amber body under a big, foamy off-white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, citric hops and alcohol. Taste is very sweet and malty with caramel, some alcohol and rather bitter. Balanced in body but otherwise I feel this beer is a bit messy with just a lot of everything. Too sweet, too boozy and bitterness out of balance.

Bottle @ Home as Skoiar 7,5%. Clear golden body without any head. Both aroma and taste is rather straight forward, clean and refreshing. Moderate sweet, mild acidity, mix of fresh and ripe apple, no off flavors. Nice and easy, pleasant one. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Einar Sin on 09 Apr 2023 at 18:27 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5. Original review text: Bottle. Practically clear pale golden body with moderate carbonation and no head. Nice, light, clean, fresh apple aroma with a hint of moderate acidity. Taste is refreshing and clean with young apple flavor. A fine mix of green, yellow and pink apples with a slightly acidic touch. Quite straight forward but well balanced without any yeast, sulphite or any off flavors. Medium body and same aftertaste all the way. Nothing extraordinary really, but sure a nice and fresh thirst quencher to be enjoyed in most occasions with or without any food.
Superficial tasting at company beer tasting. This was super interesting to taste, would love to repeat this rather unusually beer. Sweet caramel malt, candy, vinegar, fruity and bitterness. An exiting experiment indeed, not just made for the sake of making experiment but clearly with a plan. Some kind of sour, but still so different. The acidic vinegar seems to play in the background of a much sweeter beer and the result is totally different from all other sours I have tasted.
