So you found the rez bar. You come here to hangout, not savour or tick beer (but this rating is based on being a beer ticker in a unique place - the service is fine, just don't ask any questions about the beer; the fact everything is tax free adds to the value)

There are no taps. Just a few fridges with macro lagers, vodka coolers, and some basic ciders, plus a small selection of hard liquor - $6 for a macro lager can (Coors, Bud, Kokanee, Molson, Lucky), $6.50 for a bottle of MGD, $7 for a bottle of Corona. No tax.

Small patio area where the smokers go. Inside is a fairly empty room with a share tables, jukebox, and dart game. The room is heated by a wood stove. There's also a payphone in a dark corner. Past the bathrooms, there's a small backroom with a pool table where you pay for electricity in order to play (you literally put a $1 coin in the machine and the lights come on).

The place doesn't open til 9pm and people don't usually show up til 11pm. If you order a single beer, they'll look at you weird - most people order a tray with two beers, and two shots per person.

When you leave, if you're not getting a ride, watch our for wolves and bears - I got a ride, but there was a wolf hanging around half a block away so we drove a person who was waiting outside to walk home once it left...

(unless you're invited to the secret rez bar) Your only option in or around Bella Bella (but you have to take the water taxi from Bella Bella to Shearwater on Denny Island so don't lose track of when the ferry runs and get stranded!). 4 Vancouver Island taps, a few macro lager cans/bottles. If you want a beer - your options are to come here, or goto the band liquor agency and drink in your room (or find a house party on the rez). Good luck!
