Easygoing festbier. Sweet and simple, malty, limited bitterness, a suggestion of caramel. Goes down fine.

Clean beer. Lean pale malts, pine needles, dried citrus peel. Has all the right moves. I wouldn’t exactly say the beer sings, but I can’t really fault it. Just a very solid, drinkable hoppy pale ale.

Classy stuff. By no means a murk bomb. Feels like the Kernel malt backbone is there. Some creamy hops but it’s not a purée. Ample bitterness. A suggestion of oats. A nice dank edge to it. Moreish. This beer started well and got even better. The bitterness here is key. Reminds of some proper New England gear, like Alchemist. Wouldn’t mind seeing more of this.

I am very much in favour of 5% lambic. So much character without too much boost. Decent funk here, some citric edge, balanced acidity, a little pale woody dryness. Active, massaging carb. Clean, tidy finish. Refreshing. Excellent.

This works really well. Sweet and malty, some caramel, bittersweet espresso vibes, roast, toffee, semi-ripe dark fruits. Rich but not boozy. Nice creamy coffee character. Solid.

Great hoppy golde. Fresh pale malts, little biscuit and bread, lemon, straw, melon and tangerine. Great condition, pillowy. Could drink it all day.

A pretty decent mild. Not a beauty but it ticks the boxes. Lightly sweet dark malts, a hint of burnt caramel, prunes, dark berries, suggestion of licorice. OK condition. OK balance. Drinks fine.

Not great, either it’s a bit off or it’s a poor beer. Ample damp carpets, earth and leaves, vague toasted malts, grains. Can’t say it was a pleasure.
