Bottle from Stacks. Hazy dark brown-red, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of blue grapes, prune, ruby port, blackcurrant, cherry, vanilla, almond, wood. Taste has sweet-sour blackcurrant, cherry & grape, some bitter grape skin too with a phenolic note in an almondy malt body. Tart finish, some woody, grape skin- & cherry pit-like tannins and warming port-like alcohol. Medium body, thin oily texture, soft carbonation. Enjoyable vinous stuff.

Bottle from Stacks.Hazy black, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of coffee liqueur, fondant, espresso, vanilla, vodka, prune, raisin, vague varnish. Taste has sweetish prune & raisin in a dark-chocolatey, toasty malt body with some spicy notes. Earthy hops in the finish, lingering espresso, coffee roast, fondant and warming vodka-like alcohol. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Quite good, somewhat on the rough side.

Can from Beer Republic. Hazy yellow, small, foamy, white head. Aroma of ripe peach, pineapple, lychee, dough, white onion, hashish, triple sec. Taste has sweet pineapple & lychee in a doughy, sherbetty malt body with some dank onion & hashish. Floral & peppery hops in the finish, bitter citrus pith, onion, garlic even through the soft hop burn, but juicy stone fruit and warming triple sec-like alcohol have the final say. Medium body, fluffy texture, soft carbonation. Rounded and complex IIPA.

Bottle from Sandersput Ninove. Hazy orange, small, foamy, off-white head. Aroma of orange zest, apricot, plum, straw, coriander, grapefruit juice, wood, parsley. Taste has sour orange, apricot & some grape, turning towards bitter notes of grapefruit juice & coriander in a sourdough-like malt profile. Tart citrus peel in the finish, fresh citrus zest, coriander and wood. Medium body, slick texture, fizzy carbonation. Not badly executed, but the added flavours lend some harshness to the base profile.
