I don't really tick much nowadays. Still enjoy a decent beer just as much, along with the community that Ratebeer originally built. I've not moved to that popular app and never will - It's become a monopoly which is having too much influence on today's craft beer scene.

My local while staying in Lisbon and happy enough with that. It’s a nice enough venue that looks pretty small when you step in but has a bunch off seating hidden off to the side of the main room. Their own beers are decent enough and aside from the taps there’s some decent enough stuff in the fridge with good prices I thought (I paid €5.50 each for 3 imperial stouts).

Aside from the name and the colour of it I definitely got some Brewdog vibes from this place. So much so that I even looked online to see if the place used to be a Brewdog (It didn’t). Just somewhat inspired I guess. Don’t let the comparison put you off though. It’s a decent bar with a good and varied tap list. Focus seems to be more on import than local but the quality of what I had was good. Their food specifically seems to be massive pizza slices - Although it’s not exactly surprising craft beer bar cuisine, it was decent value and pretty delicious TBH. Overall, quite liked this place for what is was and will probably return for a beer and pizza slices.

Bottle at my current Lisbon home. Black with a ring beige head. Aroma of roast, coffee, dark chocolate, soy sauce and licorice. Medium to thick texture. Decent enough. But yeah, this is sadly the best glassware I could find in this apartment.

Draft at one of the bars in Lisbon. Dark brown with a tan head. It’s definitely a black ipa in the hoppy side and not the stouty side. That nice grassy green hop character coming out strong Fresh and grassy with the dark malt and some cocoa notes coming behind. Medium bodied, decent.

Glass in Lisbon. Clear golden with a fruity hop and light malt aroma. Pretty plain but likable enough.
