Can. Morrison’s. Nice and fresh by the looks of the date stamp. Moderate haze on a pale gold. Decent glossy swede is thick and lasting. Bit oaty and wheaty with pineapple and sweet grapefruit. Taste is pretty sweet overall with a light pithy bitterness. It’s too sweet on the whole, but it’s not undrinkable by any means.

Can. 6.5%. Mitchell’s Wines. Clear deep cola brown. Solid thick tan foam. Looks the beans. Nose has tangy vine fruit. Bit of liquorice stick. Stripped privet leaf. Yeasty and estery, as per a Union brew. Taste is semi tart and tangy with a whisper of malt sweetness. Body and drinkability belies the 6.5%. Twangy bitterness to finish. It’s mild, but not as we might expect peep holes.

Can. Mitchell’s Wines. Mostly clear medium gold. Half decent swede albeit a little broken and thin. Nose has biscuit malts. Bit of a nutty edge. Fairly pungent earthy floral hop. Taste is pleasantly dry and bitter with some sweetness on the lips. Crisp and bitter overall. Sinkable.

Tap. Thornbridge Tap. Clear tea colour. Decent white foam. Not too much happening here. Some cereal and some light earthy hop. Dry and bitter. High-ish carbonation. Dry and prickly. Dry bitter finish. Bland.

Tap. Thornbridge. Hazed yellow. Dense lacing white froth. Nose has mango flesh and puree. Bit of an ice cream thing. Some distant beeriness. Taste is semi sweet with a bitterness that seems quite unique to a mango infused beer. Maybe that’s just me though. Decent body with a nice creamy edge. Bitter finish. Definitely delivers.

Can. Mosheeshwaa. Hazed glowing pale gold. Slim lasting sticky white foam. Looks good. Nose has sweet grape and yellow melon. Lightly oaty. Some citrus. Taste is a tad sweet overall but not to any detriment really. Bit of pithy bitterness. Decent body and easy drinking. Bitterness ramps up to finish. Decent super mercado fodder.

Can. Dram Shop Sheffield. Mostly clear pale gold. Very sturdy bubbly just off white foam. Nose has wheat first up. On top there’s pineapple and stone fruit. Bit of a worty thing going off which spoils things a little. Taste is a little dry and fairly bitter overall. A bit soda-ish on the palate with quite high carbonation. Dry and bitter finish. A bit under par compared with some other recent offerings. Not bad mind.
