Bottle. Chatsworth Farm Shop. Looks class before it’s poured. Quality packaging. Sits hazed gold with a soppy white head. Stays the course. Nose has lemon verbena. Sweet orange jelly sweets. Touch of leafy piny hop. Taste is a little sweet first off with a nicely balanced pithy bitterness. Not without some dryness too. Super clean overall. Class affair this. I get that Chatsworth ask for a beer that ticks particular boxes using specific ingredients, but then this brewer still keeps things really drinkable and satisfying. Quality.

Can. HOTM. Murky brown. Decent foam. Bit of yer charred grapefruit on top of roasty nutty malts. Semi sweet up front with a good hit of marmalade like bitterness. Easy drinking. Long Buxton bitterness on the finish. Good gear.

Cask at source. Hazed pale gold. Slim dense lasting lacing white foam. Fruity hop and distinctive yeasty notes. Taste is pretty sweet with pithy bitterness. Easy drinking although this would have benefited pulling through. But you know, what do you expect in the brewery taproom.

Tap at source. Clear pale gold. Slim white head. Clean dry grain and lemony hop. Light and refreshing with spritzy carbonation. Clean off dry finish

Bottle. Waitrose. Clear dark amber. Good solid shiny off white foam. Slightly nutty hedgerow vinous nose. Taste is light sweet and pretty dry. Moderate leafy hop bitterness. Feels a bit stewed overall. Moderate bitterness to finish. Probably one to try on cask in front of a fire getting grannies tartan.

Can via the online shop I believe. Either that or Cole’s Corner. Clear vibrant deep red. Lovely foamy swishy pink head. Nose has blackberry. Blackberry jelly. Bit of lactose. Light woody, stalky notes. Taste is semi sweet, light dry and nicely puckering. Very healthy body with crisp fruity burp inducing carbonation. Semi sweet lightly tart juicy finish. Nice one. Sank it.

Can. Bier Huis Ossett. Birthday gift from the missus. Contains Kiwi apparently, which I’m allergic to, so this was just a taster. Good job I read the label. Hazed slightly mucky gold. Decent lasting white foam. Nose is indeed like a key lime pie. Taste is sweet and semi tart. Nice gentle pucker. Good body. Light tart finish. Nice.
