Clear golden. It’s Apfelwein with peach ice tea, which overpowers the Apfelwein. Minimal sourish, with some sweetness and bitterness from the peach black ice tea. Light bodied, watery texture, lively carbonated, dry sweet and sour finish. It’s quite refreshing and very simple.

Visited November 2024. It’s a typical Globus hypermarket in an industrial area outside of Prague, close to the metro station Zličín, where you can park very cheap and reach very easy the city center by the way. The beer selection is simply mind blowing. There is a 20 metres long fridge filled with that plastic bottles from Czech craft brewers, for me this is pure beer heaven. Standard beer is sold in glass bottles as well, which are not that interesting. Also a huge range of Czech convenience food, soups, cabbages, cakes, pastries. Gotta love these hypermarkets.

It’s slightly unclear deep amber reddish golden with a big fluffy head. Earthy, rustic, rubbery, some tobacco, rye, caramel, roasted malt, basement notes, lemon, vanilla. Malty caramel sweetness, dry rubbery earthy bitterness. Full bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry malty caramely rustic bittersweet finish. Hands down, this is one great Franconian Märzen!

Visited June 2025. It’s THE brewpub in Heidelberg, which sells the big 1l bottles of Helles for take away for a few Euros. The pub itself is pretty crowded, but it’s quite fast to order that take away beer. The beer is super tasty and I think, nicer to explore Heidelberg while drinking, drinking at the place. The brewpub also has other styles (especially that famous Bock) but didn’t try.

Visited July 2025 for a quick Helles as a night cup. This is one of the many Augustiner venues all around Munich. The Augustiner Helles here is as good as it can be, fresh, crisp, clean with that München feel. The waiter was probably the nicest waiter in whole Munich. 4,50 € is pretty fair as well.

Clear golden with a stable foamy head. Fresh grain, straw and pale malt, some citrus, bread. Grainy sweetness, dry bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry grainy sweet mellow finish. A very grainy and mild Helles, pretty decent though, despite being brewed by Tucher.

Unclear golden with a stable creamy head. Lemon zest, sourdough, grassy hops, some grain, metal. Hoppy metallic zesty bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry zesty metallic bitter finish. Quite difficult to rate, not a bad Pilsner, but quite different from others.
