A rich, dark ale with roasted malt flavours, hints of chocolate and caramel, and a smooth, warming finish. It’s a bold yet balanced beer, perfect for those who enjoy a classic British mild with depth and character.

Thanks for the can Fin! Darkest brown, golden brown head. Roasted notes, earthy, light licorice, very nice flowery, herbal, citric hops, good balance. Medium full mellow body. Aromatic aftertaste.

440ml can bought from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Mid- to dark brown, mostly opaque with a spotty tan head. Dark cooking chocolate, dark caramel, yeast extract, slate on the aroma. Not much sweetness to the taste at all, it’s pretty bitter with salted caramel, more yeast extract and slightly burnt toast. Medium body with fairly heavy carbonation. Intense.

Dark brown colour, good brownish head and lace. Toasted with a bit minty alcohol notes. Light to medium-bodied. Hard licorice candy, toastyness, light hops with fruity notes. Interesting but a bit restless flavour palette.

440ml can. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average to huge, frothy to creamy, slowly diminishing, moderately lacing, off-white to beige head. Slightly toasty, minimally chocolately, dark malty and slightly fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of toffee, red berries. Taste is toasty and slightly nutty, dark and caramel malty, mildly bitter and minimally fruity hoppy, hints of toffee, a touch of nougat, liquorice, Brazil nut, a touch of red berries, minimally metallic overtones.
Minimally creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Fairly meaty, balanced - OK.

0.44 l can from 'Beyond Beer', canned in June 2025. Very dark ruby to black with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty and a bit fruity aroma of caramel, toasted nuts and light raisins. Gently sweet, malty, moderately roasty-bitter and minimally fruity taste of caramel, cocoa, coffee, licorice and traces of dark fruits, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, a little ashy finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Pleasant.

Malty, slightly roasty with hints of fruits, grass and hops. Faint vibes of black IPA. Surprisingly good.
