Keg at Jopen Kerk at Haarlem, Netherlands, Wednesday 7th October 2015. Hazy lemony colour with lacy white head. Zaps tge tongue straight away but soon mellows, tart with a cooked slight briney lemonyness. It’s refreshing, it’s nice, but one is enough for me. A7 A4 T7 P3 Ov14 3.5

250 ml. draft @ Bierspeciaalcafe De Paas. Post-Borefts 2015. Day 1. Hazy orange, creamy solid white head. Nose is sweetish yeast, heavily mineral, salty almost, big sweetish thick creamy yeast with a profile quite similar to mineral sparkling water. Taste is basic, heavy on the salt oddly so, heavily mineral mixed with some sweet yeast, bread, basic lactic sourness, wheat, heavy on the salt. Body is salty, mineral, thin. Odd, interesting but problematic. Nice attempt. Interesting for sure.

On tap at Arends Nest Amsterdam. Very pale gold hazy lasting white head. Light lemony aroma. Little bit of lemon soap in mouth then it turns lemon juice sour leaving a sour finish. Decent lemony sour beer. Vague salt maybe. No real malt. It’s like lemon barley water. OK.

0.33 l bottle from De Bierkoning, 4.5 % abv, bottled in august 2015. Slightly hazy, pale straw yellow with a thin, frothy, stable, white head. Weak, sourish-citrusy aroma of lemon, rhubarb, gooseberry, coriander and vanilla. Sourish-citrusy taste of lemon, coriander, wheat flour and salt, followed by a short, rather salty and smooth finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and only minimally astringent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Refreshing, mild gose, lacking some fruitiness and punch. Nevertheless easy to drink despite the strong coriander and salt notes. Nice.
