On tap at Craft&Draft, listed as BA Konrad at 10% but it reeks of wine and wood, hence the rate here. Black colour, brown head. Aroma of red wine, wood, not much port sweetness, sour cherries, ash, burnt malts, coffee, liquorice. Flavour is bitter, ashy, alcoholic, tart cherries, wood, red wine, some Port, coffee, burnt liquorice, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Harsh.

On tap at What’s Brewing. An almost black beer, with a small, tan head on top. The aroma has a faint chemical touch, some fruityness and booze, with coffee and roasted malts. Quite vinous too. It’s waming, full-bodied and semi-dry, with a nice carbonation level. The flavor is roasted and coffee-ish, with some cherry and booze. Lasting finish. A pretty intense beer, but good anyway. 141101

Black body with a fine beige head. Fine thick smooth body. Not as sweet as expected. Rather boozy stuff. Not as much cherry as I feared either. Very portwineish. Also coffee and chocolate. Dry palate.

300ml draught at Café Sara. The oily pour at the café reveals a brownish layer on top of a coal black coloured body. Solid lacework. A little restrained aroma of mid-sweet chocolate supported by blackcurrant. Comprehensive and fine blended flavour character of dark berries, cocoa powder and mild fruity tartness. Long-lived finish with alcohol tingling on the back of the tongue. Full bodied. Lovey sipper after the lunch at the cafe (Oslo 08.12.2014).
