Triple Mash Tripel

Biface is our first Belgian Tripel, rebuilt the Moersleutel way. Triple-mashed for extra fullness, it’s smoother and richer than the norm. Instead of three grains, we used five — barley, rye, oats, wheat and spelt — giving a layered body with real depth. Belgian yeast brings canned peach, ripe pear and a soft hint of banana, while Savinjski Golding and Tango hops add balance with spice and floral lift. Classic roots reengineered into a powerhouse Tripel — perfect for those who take their Belgian beers seriously.

Op tap bij Bierlokaal de Uiver. Troebel diepgouden kleur, witte kraag. Zoet, moutig, oude koekjes, hoppig, citrusschil, sinaasappel, licht kruidig, mooi bitter. Volle body, behoorlijk zwaar voor een tripel, maar wel goed gelukt vind ik.

Can, huge thanks Fin for sharing at the Mangled Ham 2026. Lightly hazy golden body, white head gone soon. Peachy, bit candied orange peel, bit spicy aroma, enjoying it. Lighter body, orange peel, coriander, herbal, dry enough, bitterish, good clean malty body... but somehow all those parts aren't mixing perfectly, maybe a bit too low carbonation coupled with them being a bit too daring? Some alcohol warmth in the finish, dryish, low astringency but still astringency. Okay.

On tap at Van Moll fest. Pours a hazy amber with light head. Aromas of stoned fruit, fruity Belgian yeast and almost doughy malts. Flavors of fruity esters, banana, sweet dried fruit, apricots and toasted malts. A big, sweet sticky Belgian Strong.

27 December 2025. Van Hoefs Christmas tasting - cheers to all! Can from Mr. Hop.

A: hazy bright orange, small, foamy, off-white head.
A: ripe banana, canned pineapple, apricot, honey.
T: sweet banana & apricot, honey, clove, dough.
F: floral hops, bitter citrus peel, dried banana, warming vodka-like alcohol.
P: medium to full body, oily texture, soft carbonation.
Hefty and sweet but some welcome bitterness is there too. Technically well done. I like it.
