Lake Trout Stout is midnight black with a thick and creamy head. It is a full bodied stout brewed with oatmeal and plenty of hops to balance the roasted barley. Our stout is an experience. It tastes the same way it looks- dark and rich.

tap at Portland location - Pours near black with a long lasting tan head and heaving lacing. The aroma is mild, roasty, chocolate malt. It tastes of sweet, dark roast malt with a full body and a roasty, mildly bitter finish.

On draft @ Brew pub in Gorham.Poured with a small, lasting, beige head. Some lacing. Heavy malt, roasted coffee, and a touch of chocolate as well. Pleasant to your nose. Taste is similar to the aroma. Average carbonation. Has a creamy yet dry finish. I can drink a 6 pack with ease, It’s worth a try if you can get a fresh bottle. I would buy again.

A deep dark stout with a thick dark brown head. In aroma, bitter chocolate, pepper, and some peaty notes. In mouth, a smooth and silky stout with bitter powdery chocolate, coffee grinds, quite nice. On tap at Portland location, April 2 2010.

Sampled from the bottle at the 2010 February Circle City Tasting. Poured a dark brown with a very small brown head. Aroma was full of roasted malts throughout, a bit one note. Flavor was similar and one note with roasted malts. Not particularly sweet.

Pours deep black into a snifter. Fluffy mocha head pancakes and tophats as it slowly recedes. Chocolate and hop aromas. Sweet and sharp upfront with dark caramel, roasted oatmeal and chocolate. Lasting cocoa finish.

Poured a deep, opaque slightly watery black from the bomber with a very active and foamy slightly off white head. Chocolate, roasted malts and nuts in the nose. Flavor is very sweet and malty, delicious, caramel, nuts, toffee etc. Finish brings the coffee flavor, soft and slightly chalky on the tongue. Very drinkable and enjoyable.

At this point in the night, on my last sample of Sebago’s beer, I was contemplating stabbing myself with my knife. These beers are sooo bad, I’m sorry, but it needs to be said. On draught at the Portland brewpub, 5/21/2005 with Muzzlehatch. That said, this one was a decent finish to the session. Nitro head remains (beige-yellow) on a dark, almost opaque chocolate brown body. Smells of light sourness (what the hell is that sour note that is in all of their beers?) hints of chocolate and coffee. Watery, low nitrogenation, but enough to kill most of the flavor. Chocolate finish, some light vanilla and roast, simple beer, bits of toasted grain acid. Watery, slick. Medium-light body. Thank god, I’m done with Sebago!

Very dark brown. Chocolatey/hoppy mix in the aroma. Fair bit of roast in the palate. Straight-up stout, with hints of lemony hop. Assertive, dry and tasty.
