Draft @ dba. Yeah, not awful but not memorable. Poured a nice gold with not a ton of head. Taste of grass and other flavors. Mine was mildly skunky.

Notes from July 2009 32oz growler from New Beer. Fourth of July leftovers. Poured into a clear plastic big gulp. Came out the color of a very greasy paper bag, with about the same amount of visibility through & through. Just a wisp of off-white lace after a slight sizzle. Smell is grainy, with light Euro carmelization. A touch of honey, but more so, margarine. Faint whiff of soil & wet leaves. Very light carbonation makes me think this one didn't seal too well. Matter of fact, I think I remember it being filled all the way to the top, impeding any gentle expansion. Anyway, taste is immensely bready. Almost like a double kvass if there were such a thing(There probably already is. I should start an ISO thread). Minerals, giving it a dirty water taste & feel. Green hops that are just barely adding some zest. An obvious amount of The butter is burning in the pan, where did you put the eggs?!(not a total deterrent to me). A little salt too. Finish is crackers & bread crust. Alcohol is negligible on my tongue, but apparent after settling on my empty stomach. I don't know how it use to be before Conn. turned on Hooker for the direction they took, but it could work with a little tuning. I still drank it pretty fast. just eager to clear the fridge for some other stuff I suppose.

12 oz. bottle in a trade with tfontana, thanks Tom! Appearance is a near clear straw gold. Carbonation seems low. Aroma is Pilsner malt, white bread, hay. Flavor is a weak reflection of the aroma.

Bottle. Aroma is yeasty dough with European bready malts. Appearance is lightly hazy gold with excellent sparkle and 1/2 finger-width, frothy white head with poor retention and minimal lacing. Taste is lightly sweet European bready malts with hints of citrus. Palate is light to medium bodied with creamy texture, soft carbonation supporting the beer and mildly buzzing the edges and tip of the tongue. Finish is abrupt, dry and minimally bitter. Overall, this beer has pretty pedestrian aroma and taste but an attractive presentation and pleasing palate.

Bottle at my parents. I grabbed this haphazardly while filling out mix 6. Dusty golden in color almost no head. Nose is faint malt and grass. Tastes of grass, touch of herbs, wheat, basement, wild flowers. Crisp enough

Thanks to Travlr, thanks Gene! Poured a clear light yellow color with an almost non existent white head. Aroma was malts, toasted notes. Flavor was malty, sweet notes. Drinkable.

Bottle courtesy of Adam of Somalia, thanks! Murky orange amber color, small white edge head. Aroma of dirty, earthy straw. Taste is bitter straw. Plain.

A blonde lager with a thin white head. In aroma, a light chalky malt with faint herbal hops. In mouth, a crisp clean sweet malt with grassy hops and mineral notes. Bottle at Mondial 2012, June 10 2012.

not sure if this was a bad one or not to be rated so highly, but it seemed to be overwhelmingly macro, macro aroma, palate, color, taste, etc. overly sweet malts combined with over carbonation makes this a miss.

Orange coloured body with no head at all and a slightly cloudy appearance. Aroma of alcohol, wheat, coriander seed and very strong orange peel (curacao). Light-bodied; Strong malty flavour with wheat and coriander seed very noticeable. Aftertaste follows with spice and a hop bitterness very nicely. Overall, a pretty good helles style beer with very good characteristics. Watch out for laying this one on its side, with the swing-top (at least my bottle), because it will start leaking!!! I sampled this 500 mL bottle purchased at K&E Discount Beverages in New Paltz, New York on 28-October-2006.
