The Aromas on the mild side are slightly old hops and pale malt with a bit of caramel. Flavors are flavors are likewise mild, not a lot going on old Hops, a little sweet upfront with some bitter in the finish cut by pronounced carbonation. One and done.

Golden color with a floral hop aroma. Sweet malt flavor with a very mild floral hop bitterness. Easy and smooth.

Very old-school American pale ale, toasted cracker malts with traces of caramel and loads of Pacific Northwest pine. Apple, lemon, and bread pop up, as do the slightest notes of citrus. Basic, but drinkable.

Tap at Weinhaus, Asheville. A bit toffeish malty aroma. Light-bodied to medium-bodied. Pale malty, spicey hops, some honey. More malty than hoppy. A bit unclean tap.

2 week old can > tulip A: Poured a mostly tawny copper gold with 1/2" of head that held very well. S: Muted scent of leafy hops and caramel. Maybe a hint of corn. T: Leaves again, herbs, orange zest brown bread. Malty like an amber ale. M: Average carbonation level, light body and wet finish. O: Not bad at all but not really representative of today's APA.

Shaker pint draft at Intermezzo in Charlotte, North Carolina. The pour is a hazed orange copper with a ½ inch light tan head. The aroma is orange and grapefruit citrus, a bit of citrus peel and toasted grain malt. The taste is a nice blend of the softly bitter citrus and the toasted cracker malt. Clean and fresh. The palate is medium to light bodied with active carbonation and a dry mildly bitter finish. Nice Pale Ale.

Draft. Amber body with an off-white head. Aroma of raw, dusty grain, citrus, floral hops. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Light on flavor except for the grainy malts.

Keg at Mamacitas, Asheville, 17/02/15. Hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is pale malt, melon, light orange, a little thin overall. Taste comprises light citric peel, melon, light bread, grassy tones. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. So so - a pretty muted affair lacking hops and indeed direction!
