Draft at the original Tampa location. Brown in color with ruby highlights, not much head retention. Aroma is on the weak side even with it warm. The lightest of roast and faint chocolate. The flavor is charred and ashy, lingering char malt after the sip. As for the body... Well, it’s very light when comparing to many others in the style.

A dark clear brown porter with a thin brown head. A nice pleasant chocolate malt aroma, light moka coffee notes. In mouth, an intense caramel and chocolate malt with some smooth British hops, nutty and oily, quite nice and surprising. On tap at brewpub, May 24 2010.

Deep brown coloured body with a thinnish tan head. Aroma of chocolate and nuts. Medium-bodied; Nice & fresh tasting with a light flavour of nuts, roasted malt and some coffee & chocolate. Overall, a decent beer - nothing special nor horrible. I sampled this beer on draught at Tampa Bay Brewing Company’s Brewpub in Tampa (Ybor City), Florida on 10 November 2007.

Dark brown. The aroma is light coffee, accented by chocolate malt. Coffeeish, chocolatey palate with an interesting orangey note towards the dry, breadcrusty finish.

Tap at TBBC. Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma, floral hops, caramel malts, some chocolate. Taste is hoppy, floral notes, lightly bitter chocolate finish with a nice caramel / malty notes on the palate. Little coffee in teh afetrtaste. For some reasons this one was a freshly new batch, and the beer seemed to be much lighter than other versions. It remains an outstanding porter, highly drinkable.
