Bottle. Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Out of date by nearly a month. My fault for not checking, although it only had four months on, which I reckon is over cautious. Anyhow. Hazy, dark gold. Huge, bubbly, lasting, off white head. Still loads of punchy hoppage. Pear and peach. Fudgy sweet malts. Taste is soft sweet. Some grassy hop bitterness. Too fizzy. Finishes a tad sweet.

Bottle picked up at The Brewery Shop, Berkhampstead, Herts, Saturday 1st August consumed at home Sunday 2nd August 2015 Pours dark gold edging towards light amber with a filmy white head. Soft carbonation, nice little fruity fizz on the tongue, some grassy hops a bitter bite and drying out quickly to the finish. Enjoyed this more so than the IPA of their’s just had. Tap @ In De Wildeman. Hazy, deep amber color. Thick, dense off white head with good retention and lacing. Aroma’s fresh/refreshing hops, tropical fruit. Retronasal more tropical fruit, sweetish, floral. Flavor is moderate bitter with a light sourness. Light bodied. Finishes with a fir earthy bitterness.

On tap at the brewery. Hazy deep amber colour lasting beige head. A little sweaty sox. Even a bit of biscuit. Some lime. OK golden ale. Some bitterness on the finish. 3.2/5. Better in the bottle. Still a little sweet, hops are better but still a pretty average golden ale that isn’t very golden .

tap@the brewery (and bottle at folks) - pours golden in colour with puffy white head. Delicate sweet citrus/tropical hoppy aroma and taste, some grass, straw and other floral nuances throughout, with a good medium bitter finish. Very easy drinking and satisfying.
