.95l can at Lidl. Pours a dull brown, large off white head that sticks around for awhile, some lacing on the glass. Aroma of caramel, sticky toffee, bready malts, some banana. Tatse is similar with a fine amount of carbonation. Nice quick finish.

500ml can from local Lidl. Pours clear dark golden amber with a frothy beige head. Aroma: lagery, caramel, metallic. Taste: light to moderate sweet, nutty malts, caramel, toffee, light spicy hops. Medium bodied, frothy carb, very dry finish

New version without Perlenbacher on the label. Dark amber, tan cream. Bready grainy nose. Medium full body, chewy, ok noble hop counterpoint. 4 4 4 3 7 Can. Golden amber, eggshell lace. Strawlike malt, lightly oxidized, phenolic. Chewy malt, papery oxidized notes, some DMS, diacetyl, honey, ok classic hop finish. Straw aftertaste.

Sampled from 0.5 l can from local 'LIDL' as 'Perlenbacher Festbier', best before August 2018. Clear, amber with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy aroma of grains and some straw. Quite sweet, moderately bitter, slightly grassy taste of grains, some straw and a touch of honey, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy and a bit metallic finish with a touch of cardboard. Medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay!

Can from Lidl Ashford and drunk at home. Clear chestnut colour. Lasting beige head. Lager aroma. Some nutty malt in the mouth. I thought it was ok. Not the worst beer in the world. Not much of a Marzen, but then again I thought there was some light citrus flavour on the finish. The nutty malt was good.
