A clean, crisp, alcohol free, organic ale which is pale straw in colour. This unique beer has distinct zingy citrus and biscuit flavours, followed by a smooth hop bitterness. Brewed exclusively using organically grown malted barley and hops.

Bottle which states 0.0%, picked up at Tesco. It pours clear reddish - brown with a small, bubbly white head. The aroma smell a bit like kvass, sweet rye bread, cheap brown bread, earth and malt loaf. The taste is dry, toothy, sweet, rye bread, malt loaf, wood, earth, fruit cake, bit of spice, a bit of burnt toast and ryvita with a drying finish. Light body and low carbonation. An interesting low abv number, but not very moreish. Too malty without a backbone perhaps? A bit like mighty malt or something.

Bottled 330ml (KCM Puuvilla)
Dark nut brown colour, small steady beige head. Strong worty aroma but same time rye bready kvass-like. Light-bodied. Flavour is also worty, not so sweet - more like crisp rye-bread flavours. Some harsh bitterness. Not very beery beer but anyhow somewhat Kvass-like NA.

Bottle from Morrisons, Todmorden. Copper with a reddish glow and a creamy-bubbly head. It's very malty in its nose, with a similar malty grittiness, although slightly lesser stated in its taste.

0.5 l bottle from 'REWE Homberg', best before November 2018. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy-spicy aroma of grains, wort, some grass and traces of soap. Medium sweet, slightly bitter, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains, wort, a touch of grass and faint hints of soap, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and a little dry finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Decent.

Bottle from Asda. Looked the part, with a chestnut body and frothy, off-white, head. However, the beer itself was not much more than some heavy malts, with a hint of chocolate and not much of a finish. Poor.

Bottle at Rose and Thistle, Frimley Green. Really malty/rye aroma - makes me think of Kotikalja/Kvass. Chestnut. Thin white head soon fades away. Good to see I spotted the rye. I would say this defiantly has a Kvass thing going on. Some bitterness but a sugarybsweetness comes through. All the time the rye is making it's presence felt. Light bodied. Thin. Flat. Abrupt finish. OK. The ryevgives it some character.

50cl bottle from Tesco, Amersham. An attractive copper colour with a loose cream coloured head; after that it's downhill, the aroma is vegetal with some burnt grains; the taste is of burnt caramel and malt extract; and the finish is harsh, dry and acrid with more burnt sugar. Very disappointing, I had hoped that this rather good brewer would have been able to crack the NA thing.

Bottle at home during 2 week post-Christmas dry out. It poured nicely with a good head and an inviting mahogany brown colour in the tankard. The taste was all malt and a very odd malt at that. It was the flavour you get when you eat the fresh malt on a brewery tour and it was very odd. It was also quite marmitey. Anyway, at first it was intriguing and a bit of a novelty, but wasn't enjoyable towards the end because it was so rich. Applause for brewing the drink, but I can't call it beer and I really didn't enjoy it.

33cl bottle. The beer pours deep copper in color with almost no head. Liquid rye bread in both aroma and flavor. Some hay. I like rye overall but for some reason it doesnt work here for me.

Bottle at the Duck in the Pond, Harrow. Dark brown with a small head and very little fizz. Very thin, watery mouthfeel. Odd taste of malt syrup, slightly burnt fruitcake and burnt chocolate. It's definitely different and very strange; I can't decide if I like it or not; I think probably not but fair play to St Peters for coming up with something a pit different, and for a low alcohol brew that's not actually pale and insipid.
