One year agging. TO Celebrate Charlie Waters and his all live. Prawie pol wieku bebnil na bebnach. Milosnik koni, Byl kilka razy w Polsce min. w Skaryszewie. Zdrowy tryb zycia. To piwo pasuje doskonale by uczcic jego smierc dokladnie miesiac temu. I tak samo jak jego pozycja notowana wysoko wsrod perkusistow to i to piwo bedzie wysoko ocenione. Piana srednia, srednio trwala, barwa brazowo-czarna, gesta, sporo metnosci. Pachnie czekolada, nieco sliwkami i wisniami w czekoladzie. W smaku tresciwe, z owocowym profilem, wisnie, sliwki, czekolada, subtelna lekka kawa, spora przyjem,na goryczka, palone wykonczenie. RIP Charlie.

Thanks, Cimbasso!

500ml bottle from Mitchell’s Wines, Meadowhead - Jet black body, thin tan head. Nose is heavy and syrupy, with licorice, soy sauce, coffee and lots of toast, roasty malts. Taste is deep and thick, lots of the above in the taste, a little salty bitterness at the end. It got me thinking, I’ve never really had a bad Durham beer. I need to have a concerted binge on the ones I haven’t had... in the name of science.

Bottle. Mitchells Wines, Sheffield. Clear, very dark, chestnut brown. Dense film of tan head. Much slippage on the glass. Vine fruit. Dried fruit. Chocolate. Wood embers. Ash. Savoury smoke. Taste is fudgy sweet. Vine fruit tart, and dry. Round, roast bitternes. Smooth body. Unusually light fizz, for a Durham beer. Finishes long, ashy, vinous, dark chocolate bitter. Nice one. Chewy and tasty. Long sippage.

Bottle split at the Bespin Cloud City W2, thanks to Dan Yell O’Spray, 05/05/15. Gusher alert. Extremely dark mahogany brown with a decent tan covering. Nose is rich malt, toffee, spice, cocoa powder, dark fruits. Taste comprises sweet licks, chocolate, light spice, dates, caramel, liquorice strains. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light warming alcohol. Ok impy.

Bottle thanks to Dan. It pours deep brown with a small tan head. The nose is sweet, sticky, chocolate, dark fruits, cocoa, earth and rocky road. The taste is smooth, toasty, roasted malt, cocoa, rocky road, alcohol boost, dried fruits, plum and light spice with a short, sort of sweet finish. Full body and average carbonation. Good boost.
