Bottle at home in London - sourced from Whole Foods. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy white topping. Wonderful aroma, classic Kernel - all dry and pithy citrus fruits, with suggestions of zesty lemon, pine needles and dry, pale malts. Light sweet flavor, extremely lean, with more pithy citrus - lemon, grapefruit - slight rindy bitterness, understated pale malts. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Drying to finish with notes of rindy and pithy tangerine, straw, dried biscuits, faint minerals and grass. Outstanding.

Bottle. Quite low on fruitiness aswell as bitterness. Notes of mango and melon. Not as fresh as other Kernel beers I’ve had.

Keg at the brewery. Last of the keg. Win. Aroma is spicy lemon, pithy lemon, grassy orange , spicy hop. Clouded bright yellow, golden, lasting loose thin white. Flavour is composed of biscuity, cereal grains, juicy, lemon, orange, crisp, base grainy, low tropical fruit, clean yeast profile. Palate is crisp and very dry. Firm clean bitterness. Really solid.

The taste is crisp, bitter, straw, pepper, tropical fruits, grapefruit, pine needles, spicy hop and marmalade with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Delicious and well rounded. Effortlessly drinkable. Brilliant.

Bottle from Whole Foods Piccadilly. Lovely pungent tropical fruit aroma. The first beer of the day always tastes good, but this is outstanding. Just so fruity and tasty. It’s like fruit juice. I’m out of superlatives for this brewery. I might as well give them all over 4s.

Very hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and smooth with good fine carbonation. Smooth airy pale malts, light creamy sweetness. Hops are a nice mix of mild skunk, hop spice and mellow orange marmalade. Trace of piney floralness. Finishes airy and semi dry. Mild bitter linger. Comes together really well, the whole is greater than the sum of the parts an all that.
