Dirty Stop Out is our smoked oat stout that has all characteristics of a heavy night out – complex, dark, with hints of smokiness and perfume aromas. A blend of 9 malts matched up with a firmly hopped back bone make this a very self-assured stout.

Bottle "good by September 2015" from Food Show. Pours a deep black with some light ruby highlights with a tiny tan head. Aromas of plum, roasted malt and light smoke. Taste is more of the same. Lots of roasted malt with just the faintest most inoffensive smoked flavor. I don’t think I’d call this a smoked beer. Some sourness and bread on the finish. Standard oatmeal stout to me.

Pours dark brown, thin layer of foam. Aroma is roasty, silky oatmeal feel also there. Bit of soft roast character coming through. Taste is light but flavourful. Roast, hops and dark fruits, some sweetness, mouthful of silky goodness. I could session this.

0.33 l bottle from FIRMA BIER, best before end 9/2015. Clear, very dark brownish red to opaque black with a thin, soapy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Fruity-malty aroma of plums, dark cherries, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate and hints of charcoal. Sweetish, smoky-fruity taste of charcoal, plums, dark cherries, dark chocolate and and coffee, followed by a medium long, rather bitter and roasty finish. Thin to medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, flat. Quite complex for 5% abv but not as smoky as expected or hoped. Overall very solid.

(Keg at Gastropub Praha, 20150718) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had chocolate, creamy coffee and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, sweetness, smoke, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. Either the smokedness hit the blind spot of my senses or it was very mild. Despite that a nice brew.

Dirty Stopout Smoked Stout Bottle at GJBF Osaka 2015. It’s a deep brown pour with a tan head and a solid smokey aroma. The taste is chocolate and smoke, not complex but good stuff. 3.6

On tap @Arte&Sana (Malaga). Pours deep brown with beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, liquorice, light smoke. Flavour is light sweet, coffee, bitter chocolate, light smoke, decent bitter end. Medium to light body, light carbonation. Ok.

Draught @ C4. Pours hazy very dark brown with small but stable light tan head. Clear aroma of malt, with notes of fruit and roast and smoky touches. Bitterish, roasty flavour, with sweetish notes of malt and fruit and subtle smoky and hoppy touches. Roasty and estery aftertaste. Easy to dronk and rather nice.

Thanks for sharing! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Leuven Innovation Beer Festival. Black. Nose is smoked, oily chocolate, overly soy sauce & fizzy. Taste is light smoke, more oily & soy sauce like for me, syrupy, herbal with cheap chocolate,… Oily body,… A bit meh for me.

Aroma: Heavy roasted malt and chocolate. Flavour: Very dark roasted coffee and chocolate with some fruity sweetness. Colour: Black with a light brown head.

On tap at Christian Firtal. Black with a lasting off-white head. Roasted malt aroma with licorice and a touch of smoke. Sweetish roasted flavour with a full body and that silky oatmeal stout mouthfeel. Very straightforward, very well brewed stout, and I just realised I haven’t had anything like that in ages. Yummy
