Solid monkey business. Really hits the mark with a frothy off-white head and a lovely orange-brown body. The nose is fresh, highlighting sweet malts with some spiciness and soft fruit. The first impact is the fuzzy effervescence, which could be toned down a bit. Belgian hops, a touch of sweet syrupiness, tropical fruit including kiwi, orange, a touch of pepper and soft underpinning malts come together to be a top notch Imperial.

Dark clear amber pour, with a big beige head. Big hoppy notes, some sweet orange zest, dark, sweet, sticky tropical fruit, and just plain stiky syrup notes. Maybe some subtle pine resins, and some belgian yeastiness. The body is thick, even a little oily, and the mouth feel is quite full. The finish is bready, a touch of caramel, and alot of sticky sweet citrus zest. The finish is also quite warming and boozy reminiscent of a strong belgian blonde. Good beer but too boozy, seems like everything new from this brewery is minimum 10%.

Pours a hazy amber colour with golden highlights. The head is big, creamy, very long lasting, light warm beige with great lacing. Big fruity aromas with oranges, plums, caramel, spices and Belgian Ale yeast giving hints of vanilla. The taste is where the hops come out with a sharp bitterness, but goes down nicely living a warming mouthfeel with blended citrus zest lingering. A very nice Belgian IPA.

Craft Clerkenwell. Bottleshare. Very hazy amber beer, massive cream colour head. Palate is airy and a little dry. Decent fine carbonation. Fluffy malt sweetness. Good bretty savouryness. Light caramel. Hop spice and mildly funky fruit, Light spicy savoury finish. A bit bretty but fine.

Bottle at Craft Clerkenwell, thanks to Kenny. It pours murky dirty amber with a massive white head. The nose is soft, sweet, vanilla, creaminess, rice pudding, tapioca, toast, light spice and orange muffin. The taste is crisp, bitter – sweet, sticky, oily, alcohol boost, brioche, orange muffin, vanilla, spice and grass with a bitter, warming finish. Medium bod and high, foamy carbonation. Too sweet for the likes of me. I’m not 100% sure what this is.

Bottle shared at the Craft Beer Co. Clerkenwell pre-Christmas tasting - London. Shout-out to Dr. Ken for this one. Pours murky orange-gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds bread, wheat, light dough, tangerine. Medium sweet flavor with more bready malt character dominating, some alcohol presence, caramel, phenols, yeast, rindy orange. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish, resinous, with sugary bread and ripe citrus. A bit doughy, boozy and sugary. Not terribly drinkable.

Bottle split at the pre xmas tasting #Juan, thanks to Kenny, 09/12/15. Hazed orange amber with a decent dirty beige covering. Nose is pissy citrics, toffee fudge, light spice, candied fruit peel, light brett. Taste comprises caramel malt, sweet tunes, toffee fudge, light spice, yeast esters, dark fruit medley. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a decent boost level. Not so bad but not a DIPA for this Bois ... Some form of Belgo reformation.

Bottle shared by Cuso. Quite nicely balanced and interesting beer. It handles the imperial alcohol level well. Does not seem boozy or overwhelming. High bitterness, moderate body, spicy Belgian and estery fruity hoppy flavours. Very very good.
