Very hazy gold - amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and with decent fine minerally carbonation. Dry malts, light sweet creamy sweetness. Good piney orange and tangerine. Traces of pith and peel. Mild mango led tropical fruits. Light dry finish. Marmalade bitter linger. Nice one, light and bright and very drinkable.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Pretty murky orange colour. Lovely Kernel swede. Nose is peachy, a bit estery, with some baked orange. Taste has a juicy sweetness, with some esters, and some light spicy bitterness. Soft and foamy mouthfeel. Light hop spice on the finish. Good stuff.

Bottle from the brewery. It pours hazy orangish - amber with a small white head. The aroma is fresh, sweet, juicy, peach, orange creamiscle, apricot, candy, spring onion, dankness, bread and earth. The taste is crisp, dry, pine needles, grassy, spring onion, danky, ripe citrus, grapefruit, bitter orange, candy, earth, touch of spice and tannin with a drying finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Rich, dank and fruity. Good balance. Quality stuff.

Bottle from either Offie and Toffie or Oddbins. A classic kernel looker, hazed translucent golden orange with a lasting loose white head. Aroma is nice rich bready grains, with orange rind, stone fruits, peach, nectarine. Flavour is composed of semi sweet base malts. rustic bread, woody citrus, mellow tropical fruit, raw grains, little grassy. Palate is semi sweet, soft mellow carbonation, grainy. Not bad.

Bottle from Cork & Cask. Hazy golden/bronze body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of melon, orange and lime chutney. Flavour of grapefruit, melon rind and straw. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. This is really good - the best Kernel Pale Ale I’ve had in a while.

Bottle from the brewery in Bermondsey and drunk at home. Hazy dirty amber brown gold colour lasting white head. Super drinkable again. Some light lemon and grapefruit. A little bit of onion. Decent enough. A little light, as I say a little onion on the aroma, but doesn’t carry on into the mouth. Decent enough and super drinkable.

Keg at the Hop Locker - London. Pours hazy orange-gold with a tight, creamy white head. The nose holds pae bread, subdued citrus fruits, tangerine. Light sweet flavour with moderate pithy citrus, more tangerine, melon, light rindy bitterness. Light bodied with delicate carboantion. Great balance in the finish, nice interplay of bready pale malts, pithy dryness and somewhat juicy citrus fruits. Lovely.
