Bottle. Bier Huis, Ossett. Hazy gold. Good head of Kernelness. Nose has light floral notes. Bit of honeysuckle or similar. Some ripe mandarin. Touch of pine. The malts come across light and a bit pilsner like. Taste has some malt sweetness, and a light, piny bitterness. Decent mouthfeel. Light and breezy. Soft bitter finish. It’s ok. But where did Kernel go? They were so distinct and vibrant, but a really good beer from this brewer is sadly few and far between lately.

Bottle at home, 21/05/17, listening to the last knockings of the 2016/17 PL season in the radio. Almost clear golden orange with a decent off white head. Nose is mleon, tangerine, light apricot, soft breads, straw. Taste comprises melon drool, orange pith, tangerine, straw, light pine, toasted grains, light minerality. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced hop bitterness. Decent enough easy drinking APA.

Bottle at home. Picked up from the brewery. A mostly clear golden coloured pour with a tidy white froth. Aroma is delicate floral citrus, tangerine, melon and white grape. Flavour is composed of soft bready grains, raw grains, spicy citrus, whiute grape, melon, some floral notes. Palate is soft grainy, moderate carbonation. Very enjoyable delicately balanced pale ale.

Bottle from the brewery. It pours hazy orange with a small white head. The aroma is bright, fresh, juicy, pine needles, green, grassy, orange sherbet, tangy fruits and apricot. The taste is crisp, dry, bitter, piney, resin, grapefruit, apricot, marmalade, green, grassy, weed, light spice, bread, and a bit of sherbet with a drying finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Very tasty stuff. Chuggable and fresh.

Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry and has a nice fine crispness. Smooth light malts, mildly sweet - a little cream. Very mild hop skunk. Bitterish orange and lemon, some peel. Pine. Underneath that punchy fruity piney tropical fruit that seems to be Loral. Trace of sherbet. Mild pithy bitterness and tangerine before the semi dry finish. Spicy linger. Very nice - loads going on here.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the brewery. Pours clear gold with a frothy, white head. Lovely aroma, plenty of pithy citrus, tangerine rind, a little spicy pine. Light sweet flavour with moderate pale bread, more tangerine, mellow pine, restrained bitterness, some lemon rind. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Well balanced finish, fairly clean, somewhat lean, with more pithy and rindy citrus, dry pale bread, some melony aspect, mandarin orange. Excellent. Extremely drinkable.
