Keg at BD Sheps Boost, 26/07/18. Hazed orange golden with a fast collapsing off white head. Nose is elderflower to the fore, big white peppery spice, light herbal notes, hedgerow, green berry tang. Taste comprises sharp green berries, light spice, straw, funk, gooseberry yoghurt, light vinous notes, lemon peel, touch of dry rot. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with balanced rising acidity. Solid stuff.

330ml bottle, online from Hoptimism. Pours clear pale orange golden with virtually no head. Aroma: floral, elderflower, light funk. Taste: dry, crisp, tart, tangy apples, plenty of flowery elderflower, earth, light funk. Light to medium body, almost zero carb, very dry floral finish. It's a nice enough beer but lacks saison character, and the barrel ageing is barely discernable

Keg at Casc, Aberdeen. It pours cloudy orange with no head. The aroma is tangy, bright, floral, elderflower, must and funk. The taste is crisp, tart, tangy, lactic, elderflower, pickled onion, earth, apple, sherbet, bircher museli and light tannin with drying finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Could be done with more carbonation to lift it a bit. Not bad anyhow.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 33A/29B/28B/25B). Bottle 33 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 31/08/2018). AROMA: medium-high floral notes, followed by a medium sour clean background. APPERANCE: gold color and cristal clear. no head. TASTE: similar to the aroma with a bit less intensity (flower and lactic-like acidity). faint malty background. low bitterness. finishes dry and sour. PALATE: medium-low to low body. very low carbonation. OVERALL: a nice sour saison with elderflower but where it isnt perceptible the saison yeast notes, nor the barrel.

Bottle picked up from Beer Gonzo Webshop, Earlsdon, Coventry, consumed at home cooking Thomasina Miers’ recipe for Moroccan Chicken Tray Bake from the Guardian online (August 2017) had this Sunday 8th October 2017 Pours gold with a slight haze. Plenty of elderflower, lots of elderflower in fact. It's a bit floral, mildly funky, but with a zippy, zappiness, not sure that I get a Saison'ness'. Like it but it's not amazing. Keg @ Vocation & Co, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a thin head. Has a light sour character, with the elderflower subtle in its taste, and provides a floral nose. Crisp.
