Ein Bier, das sich selbst als blumig süß bezeichnet. Und das trifft es auch ganz gut. Es hat ordentliche, süße Malznoten gepaart mit tollen Aromen nach Jasmintee und Äpfeln. Diese kommen aber etwas wirr daher und könnte ein bisschen freundlicher rüberkommen.

33CL bottle at Home, Brown Reddish colour, small white head, I can’t taste honey in it(too bad I like that), this beer once again confirms, beer with fruit in it I like it or I hate it, this one is not one I like.

bottle @ home pours brown, clear, small fading white foam . bottle smells pear, when poured more malty, no pear at all. thats weird ( i used a koninck ’prinske’ glass ( basicly a pint glass ) soft carbo. realy vegetable taste, flowery, pears a bit, but mostly flowery. so weird ! to floral to me , yet very unique !

Bottle. Brown colour with a medium beige head with average duration. Aroma is sweet, caramel, toffee and yeasty. Flavor is sweet, some citrus notes, moderate yeasty, toasty, honey hints are present, toffee. The final is sweet and caramelish. Carbonation and body are medium.

33cl bottle, best before 12/2012: poured into a Westvleteren chalice at home during 10/2012. Considering this beer has both honey and pear syrup in its list of ingrediants I am surprised it wasn’t a lot sweeter than it was. The beer looked a Toffee Apple Red colour, a head of poppong white bubbles started thin and became a wisp and collar very quickly, pity, I like to keep my beers with a head for as long as possible. No sediment left the bottle. The nose as you’d expect was very floral, I detected Red Berries (but no honey or pear esters) and hints of both caramel and yeastiness. The taste had Raspberry notes and was extremely floral: not too sweet really, the beer grew on me as I sipped it. The finish is a little harsh (bitter wise) and overall it wasn’t a bad beer, might be better in the Spring, when things are warmer and brighter than now.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, 20 July 2012) Dark amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity nose with dried fruit, apricots, honey and brown sugar. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, dried fruit and a fairly sweet finish with a touch of candy sugar and a moderate bitterness. Almost full body, quite sweet. Tasty and quite nice.

Bottle somewhere during Paul’s pre-wedding beer getaway in Belgium. Pours mid-brown with a soft, white head. Some caramel character here. Medium to big sweet. Medium to full in body with fine, smooth carbonation. To finish, more caramel, very smooth sugary sweetness and some light toasted malts. Very nice beer.

Honey and caramel nose, subtly buttery in a good way. shimmering amber, headless. alcohol is noticeable. Honey or candi flavor, hay. the strikes me as a Belgian beer trying to emulate a British bitter. It’s a nice idea and I enjoy it.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, dark amber to brown colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Slightly sugary toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel and a delicate touch of raspberries. Slightly sweet and roasty bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a moderate carbonation. Mildly roasty and caramely malty taste with a balanced fruity blend; mildly sweet and fruity finish with a tinge of hoppy bitterness. Pleasant. 04.X.11
