Keller Pilsner. Combining our brewery’s super soft water and the finest German hops, this unfiltered keller pilsner is crushable. Brewed as a traditional European continental pilsner, this is what beer tastes like pouring from the wooden vats used to make lager beer for centuries in the Czech Republic town of Plzeň.

Can from E Station. Slight haze. Pale. Not much head. Pale malt and spicy hop on the nose. Mild bitterness, light pale malts, a touch of yeastiness. Mellow spicy hop. Ok for the style, but there's definitely better ones (in America, even).

Herbal and yeasty, leaning more towards bread than the subtle grass and grain notes you want from a pils, with an underlying citric streak and a modest floral bitterness on the back end. Pours a slightly hazed straw yellow with a fizzy white head and no lace. Smells like a slice of Wonderbread. Texture's good, perky and crisp with a easy-drinking light body. Above average pilsner, but just barely.

12 oz can. Cloudy yellow-gold color with a white head and decent retention. Trace lacing. Clean, crisp and light mouthfeel. Light pilsner flavor with a citrusy hop finish (but not bitter). Quenching.

Draft. Cloudy yellow body with a fizzy white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma of lemon, toasted grain, herbs/grass. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter and lightly acidic. Thin to medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lemon tart taste. Easy enough drinking but light on the bitterness and not as crisp as better pilsners.

Can - cloudy gold - watery, indistinct, and flabby pils - dull hops, murky malts - it's not flawed, and it's perfectly drinkable - it's just muddy, lacking the pop and brightness you'd want from the style.

Sample at the Brass Tap. Pours a cloudy, pale, yellow color, with a small, white head and lots of lacing. The aroma is lime peel, juniper, anise, and quinine. Sweet and malty, with an easy bitter finish. Light to medium body, with a crisp, sticky mouthfeel. This is an crisp, easy, and interesting pilsener. Nice.

Keg at the source. Pours hazy yellow with a rich, creamy white head. The nose has some dirty grass, biscuits, hay, lemon peel. Light sweet flavour, more grassy bites, some husky grains, cereal. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Balanced finish, more biscuits and mellow grassy bitterness. Good pils.

I don't know about top 50 but the pilsener is ok. Among the sours here at the brewery this stuff serves like a palate cleanser. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Crisp finish.
