gefunden in einem Denns Bio-Supermarkt in Wien und getrunken zu einem ausgezeichnetem Schwarzbrot mit ziemlich graußlichem Tomatenaufstrich, auch von dort. Das Bier gefällt mir aber wirklich gut. Es hat einnen vollen, herzhaften Körper und dabei schöne getreidige Noten. Als Festbier fehlt mir der schwächere Hopfenton nicht und ich kann durchaus meine Empfehlung für dieses Bier aussprechen.

Leicht trübe, hell goldene Farbe mit minimalem Rotstich. Getreidig, etwas strohig, leichte Fruchtnoten, ein Hauch floraler Nuancen. Der Hopfen spielt eine deutliche Rolle, fällt aber nicht aus dem Rahmen dessen, was man von einem bayerischen Bier allgemein erwartet. Dass die Zutaten aus biologischem Landbau kommen, ist natürlich ein großer Pluspunkt. Schon ein anständiges Festbier, aber Riedenburger hat doch so einiges im Programm, was deutlich besser ist.

0,5 l swing top bottle. Flat red golden in the glass. More than one finger white head. Malty on the nose. Taste starts also malty, less sweetness. Grainy, little bit fruity. Spicy in the second part with some nuts. Increasing bitter hop to the end.

0.5 l bottle from 'denn's' (Lüdenscheid), best before May 2022. Clear, golden with a medium large, foamy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty, minimally fruity aroma of grains, honey, some apricot and traces of sultanas. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, a little floral taste of honey, grains, some straw and light vanilla, followed by a short, slightly bitter, minimally metallic finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent, soft carbonation. Decent Festbier, as bland as usual but quite drinkable.

500 ml bottle. Cloudy orange with a foamy head. A lot of hay and bread, grassy hops, lemon, a bit yeasty, slightly metallic with a bit grapefruit peel, honey. Dry hoppy citrus bitterness. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry hoppy bitter finish. A great Märzen!

Bottle picked up from REWE, Mainburg and consumed at home Attenkirchen Saturday 9th November 2019 listening to Craig Charles, Funk and Soul Show, Loz is cooking a 'Civet of Venison with Ceps'. Pours amber, good clarity, white head. A little subtle, okay there are light toffee notes, it's malt driven, but other than the usual characteristics, not much standing out, it's fine though.
