Belgian Stout in the Irish style: light, dry, and freshly bitter with complex roasted notes. The scent is pleasantly fragranced by the presence of an English aromatic hop particularly appreciated by connoisseurs.

Second shared beer in a mini-tasting session with little Andy at my place on 14th November 2021. 33cl bottle: BB 2nd February 2023. Decent enough Stout, black bodied with a tanned head that stayed around. Malty with a coffee like aroma and taste.

Deep brown, near black, with a frothy beige head and a subtle aroma of mellow coffee and some dark fruits. Medium bodied with a dry mouthfeel and a bitter taste with some roasted coffee, dark fruits and a hint of liquorice

[33cl bottle from Beer52's Belgian box.] An opaque tawny coloured pour with a good inch of tight beige head; aroma of roasted malts and chocolate; dry in the mouth with a sharp bitterness from the deeply roasted malts; and a smooth creamy finish with traces of chocolate and coffee. A rather good stout.

Bottle from an online shop, 5%, drunk while grilling a flank steak. Very dark brown / almost black, big light brown head. Coffee and cacao roasted nose with hints of brown sugar. Flavor has a lively character with some acidity, good balance, smooth light bitterness mixed with a hint of black malt astringency. Great powerful tasting stout.

Bottle from Beer 52. Chocolate, yeast and malts combine to give a heady aroma here. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a strong lasting foamy beige head and good lacing. In the mouth the texture is creamy with some slight initial sweetness before chocolate, coffee, raisins and roasted malts kick in. Finish is dry and bitter. This is what a stout should be like !
