Saxby’s Original Cider has been blended with plum juice to create a mouth-watering medley of mists and mellow fruitfulness.

Red plum fruit sweetness that is well balanced with touches of tartness. The taste starts with a delicate mix of the plum skin tannins first, then progressing to a rich fleshy fruit. The fruit pairs beautifully with a delicate balance of apple, plum and damsons.

Bottle from Connolly's. Clear rusty red colour with a small white fizzy top which lasted a fair while. Subtle plum and apple skin aroma but at least its not artificial on the nose. Sweet and tart plums through the taste, some apple skin notes, drying in the close. Light to medium bodied, sparkling, light syrupy finish. Quite nice.

1/10/2019. Bottle from Towcester Mill Brewery Shop. Pours pale plumy amber with minimal head. Aroma of sweet apples and plum juice with a little brown sugar. Medium plus syrupy sweetness but balanced quite nicely with a light to moderate tartness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. I've found Saxby's to be hit and miss, this was one of their nicer ones.

Gravity dispense at the Real Ale Classroom, Stoneygate, Leicester. Reddish purple, flat. Not so much plum in the aroma: the nose is almost pure sour apple. There is however a good dollop of sweet/sour plum in the taste with a welcome dryness in the long finish. Surprisingly delicious.
