Argelette, named after the stony schist found locally, is a complex blend and made from the maximum amount of varieties, from the oldest trees that particular year has to offer.
A vinous sydre which keeps well thanks to its balance between matter, acidity, roundness and minerality. (5% depending on the vintage).

(Bottle, vintage 2015, 5.5% abv) Hazy amber colour with brief, bubbly head. Fruity nose with notes of apple peel, orange peel and a touch of oak wood. Fruity, vinous taste with apples, citrus, hay, oak wood and a slight bitterness in a bone dry finish. Good acidity. Medium body, dry. Crisp, elegant and really tasty. Very nice.

75cl bottle from Whole Foods, Kensington. Pours a generally clear caramel gold, thin white ring atop. Aroma of toffee apple, caramelised fruit. Taste is crisp, fruity with caramelised brown sugar, stewed fruit, hints of raisin with gritty wine-like flourishes and racy acidity. Nice effervescence. Great stuff.

750 ml corked & caged bottle, vintage 2017, from Être Gourmet, Belgium. ABV is 6%. Golden colour, pours sparkling with a large white head that actually lasts a while. Distinct aroma of acidic apples, hints of oak. Soft mouthfeel. The flavour is smooth and not as acidic as expected, medium sweet.

Bottle shared at home, forgot where I got this from... Clear golden with small white bubbles. Crisp apple, light floral, berries, raspberries, light earthy, mineral. Crisp and dry but also has quite some red fruits, damn, I even get strawberries! Soft pear, lemon peel and soft herbs. Light sweet, bit over light tart and bitter. Very crisp medium body with soft sparkly carbonation and over medium dry finish. Very nice.

Bottle, 2016. Red gold, fine pearling. Dry pear, appleskin marzipan sparkles, medium dry sparkly, fullbodied sweetness, sparkly chewy. Hazlenut, old pear, marzipan, impressive balance - dry to sweet, fruity to dry spice. No nonsense great drink.

2016 bottle. Clear deep golden color with white head. Aroma is red apples, vanilla, custard, good funk. Taste is vanilla, juicy red apples at first, then immediately the funk takes over, light hazelnut, going towards a dusty, bone-dry finish. Bone dry, foamy carbonation. Great bone dry Cidre if you are into that. Lots of character going on here, no compromises, bold and balanced at the same time.

Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle corked and capped, 2014 bottle poured into a glass. Hazy deep golden with small white head. Aroma is light Apple & wood, medium/light body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is lighter apple, a little wood, and pretty dry. May of been sweeter and better for my tastes fresh.
