Struise C-DOS Cuvée Delphine On Steroids aka Pablo Eiscobar

Cuvée Delphine 2010 barrel aged for a year on 4 Roses bourbon barrels, then double eisbocked to 41% abv. Barrel aged furthermore for 4 years on Arran Lochranza barrel. This is about beer a massive amount of whisky aromas and flavors. Not for pussies, nor beer geeks

Bottle shared at Chriso’s and Ruth pre GBBF shindig, August 5, 2017. Pours hazy brown, flat. No carb. Super boozy nose, not sure what’s in there. Taste is quite vile, very boozy and beer liquor. Burns and has some dark plums and caramel in flavor. Not sure if you should make beer as strong as this.

Bottle at Chriso pre GBBF Shindig 2017. Smells boozy. Some soy sauce. There is some cuvee delphine in there but this is too spirit boozy. Ridiculous. Good base beer. Too boozy .

Bottle shared at Leightons place, 31/07/2017. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. An oily nutty brown coloured pour with a a fading tan oily head. Aroma is big boozy alcohol, heat, madeira cake, toffee, brown sugars, apple, little cinnamon. Flavour is composed boozy neat alcohol, whisky, rum and raisin, Christmas cake, little spicy, little chocolate. Palate is oily, paraffin, , lowish carbonation, . Lingering hot alcohol.

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Mitch. Pours clear brown-red with no head. Big snout, some burnt peanuts, raw alcohol, vague chalky cocoa, toffee. Medium sweet flavour with lots of harsh alcohol, some torched wood, cocoa, ash, burnt honey. Full bodied, chewy, soft. Extremely hot finish, some toasted malts, syrupy vanilla, more vague chocolate. A bit vodka-like. As pure novelty, it’s interesting. But it’s really not very drinkable.

Bottle shared at Leighton’s place. Thanks to Kenny. Pours soy Sauce dark brown with no head. Aroma is chocolate, dried fruit, booze and some nuts. Taste is a massive boozy hit that gently mellows into a good Christmas cake, lots of dried fruit and a nice sweetness that takes the boozy edge away. Not bad.

Thanks Adam?? The aroma was really awesome, Brandy, vodka, odd berries, and maybe a grain note. Wow! The flavor is almost a vodka / rubbing alcohol. No shit, open up some rubbing alcohol. If I said A small shot of this was harsh, understatement.
