Bottle at LKS - thanks to the host! It pours jet black with a massive tan head. The aroma is earthy, toasty, umami, dark chocolate, jammy fruits, rocky road, maltesers and cake. The taste is soft, sweet, sticky, milk chocolate, earthy, boozy warmth, fudge, chewy malt and leather with a dry, toasty finish. Medium+ body and fine, foamy carbonation. Nice elements to it, but lacks a bit of depth for the style. Not bad anyhow.

Bottle shared in Hackney - sourced from an online shop. Pours black-brown with a fizzy tan head that settles into a thin cream. Soft roasted malts on the nose, some burnt butterscotch and toffee, dried berries. Medium sweet flavour with notes of brown bread, berries, alcohol, background toasted malts. Medium to full bodied, somewhat oily, with fine carbonation. Sweet and warming in the finish, with further toasted toffee, dried fruits, hints of cocoa. Not bad overall.

Tasting at SF, Vancouver; 16/03/2021
Black color. Strong smell of yeast; then it goes away replaced by a better aroma of roasted nuts. Medium body strength, roasted malt flavor, quite strong yeast flavor, that is particularly strong in the final, along with a touch of liquorice. Boozy.
Not very exciting.

Dark brown, thin head. A little bit boozy, with dark fruits that are maybe a little burnt, and certainly dark sugars, even if I can't figure out what kind. This tastes big, but it actually comes across a little bit light in the body. Sort of gets a little weak in the finish. The initial aroma was pretty big, and interesting, but then the palate never really had the follow-through.

750 ml bottle. Pours black with full tannish head. Aromas of dark fruit, cocoa powder, and dusty roasted malts. Big, dry dusty flavors of roasted malts, licorice, dark chocolate covered cherries, and acidic black coffee. Very very dry. Neat. Very nice.
