Bottle at the ChrisO Flags of Many Nations Easter Tasting - London. Thanks to Jan for this Norwegian delight. Pours cloudy yellow-gold with a light, creamy white head. Lovely, well rounded brett nose, some pee and grass. Light sweet flavor with dry and lightly doughy pale malts, grassy bitterness, moderate funk. Light bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Clean, dry finish with some bitter grass and understated funk. Nice beer.

23.05.2013, 0,5l bottle @ home: Gusher. Big creamy longlasting head. Aroma is dry funky fruity, citrus, brett, hay, citrus peel, dried fruits, bubblegum, grass, overripe mountain berries, light malts. Taste is slightly dry, weeds, hay, citrus peel, grass, brett, leafs, citrus, bark, some chalk. Medium bitterness, dry mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough, refreshing.

Sukk. Infisert og egentlig ødelagt, men markedsmessig smakt innpakket og dermed salgbart. Og den blir sikkert bare verre med lagring.

Flaske (batch 821) fra Polet, på årets førdte virkelige sommerdag: jeg begynner antakelig å få smaken på surøl, dette er eminent forfriskende og drikkbart. Er det sommervarmen eller er det som Asle Bjørn og Ole Anders hele tiden har sagt, når du først får smaken på surøl så er det gjort? Mild, vennlig surhet uten å være snerpete eller konfronterende, og smaker like godt mot slutten, selv om temperaturen i glasset har steget. Men hva har dette med funk å gjøre? Funk er en musikkstil som oppsto på slutten av 60-tallet, og hvor mdlodi og harmoni er av underordnet betydning, rytme er det bærende element.

500 ml bottle, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Batch #821. ABV is 5%. Not exactly a geyser when opened (which I appreciate), it was actually possible to pour the beer without spilling anything. Hazy golden colour, huge white head. Typical brettanomyces aroma with "farmhouse" notes, also notes of slightly stale lemons. Medium sour flavour, brett galore, quite dry, the finish is spicy and hoppy and fairly bitter. Refreshing, and I like it.

500 ml bottle @ Apotekergården. Practically clear golden with lively carbonation and a big, foamy white head. No gusher whatsoever. Aroma has a mild version of funk/barnyard/Brett/farmhouse with citric fruit and a lemon twist. Flavor is light and refreshing, pale malt, citric acidic fruit and low bitterness. Medium body and refreshing acidic aftertaste. Decent, refreshing, quaffable and pretty light version of a sour beer. Could have some more body and personality here.

Bottle at Chriso Easter "Flags of many nations" Tasting, 31/03/13 big thanks to Jan for this one. Lightly hazed pale golden with a thin off white head that retains well. Nose is light funk, sour notes of peaches and orange. Taste comprises soured fruits, orange, grass, funk, citrus, herbal qualities. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry in the finish, Decent.

Tasting at ChrisOs. Hazy gold beer, big fluffy white head. Light palate, airy, dry and crispy. Bretty minerals. Nice lemony citrus in good balance. Light dry finish. Decent.
