Bottle (north pole label) @ luxury tasting 1-2015 shared by Countbeer. Opaque pitch black color, full sized creamy caramel brown head that lasts for a long time. Aroma is malts, earthy, milk chocolate, caramel. Taste malts, milk chocolate, cocoa, chocolate bitter, lightly roasted malts and the slightest hint of laurel and liquorice. After a while some raisins and sweetness come through. Medium body, medium carbonation.

Bottle shared by HopasaurusRex, thanks for the opportunity! Pours a solid black with a creamy tan head that dissipates rather quickly. Huge coffee aromas as well as some chocolate roast and light brown sugar. Light earthy aromas and a very faint dark dried fruitiness round out the aroma quite well. The flavor is rich dark chocolate maltiness with a bunch of creamed coffee poured over it. Light fruit and earth round out the flavor quite nicely. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation. Really nice coffee brew, I’m glad I got to try this.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar
Aroma has hayish notes, toffee and butter. Some roasted coffee also. Feels like a low-abw English stout. Flavour is dry and roasted with buttery tones and ash. An IS in English way.

A deep dark imperial stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, loads of coffee attack the nose with caramel, treacle, and floral hops, very nice and pleasant. In mouth, intense bitter chocolate with good coffee grind, musty character, chalky notes, light alcohol warmth, very classic and pleasing. On tap at brewery.

2012 bomber (Big Hugs vs Mecha Hugs). Aroma is dark and roasty with a moderate roasted coffee aroma. Moderate sweet chocolate aroma with hints of plum and cherry dark fruit. Hint of alcohol, but really just a nice mocha aroma. Pours dark brown to black with a moderately thin, small mocha head that recedes quickly to the edges. Light lacing and small legs. Flavor is similar to the aroma with a pretty predominant roast coffee note upfront. Some light dark frit notes and a hint of green coffee beans mid palate. The finish has quite a big chocolate note and finished like a mocha. Medium light alcohol spice and medium to medium high bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium full to full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth. Overall an a pretty nice coffee stout, but not one I would agree more than a year as I think this is showing hints of a negative oxidation experience. Nice coffee and chocolate character combine to make for a mocha finish.
