Northern German Style Pilsner
For far too long the tyrannical industrialized beer overlords have disgraced and cheapened the noble heritage of the pilsner with their relentless multi-generational downward drive to commercialized homogenization. Over decades, this once vaulted style has been slowly and methodically gutted, bringing forth a soulless and anemic result, all the while spending billions in advertising to convince the unwitting public that their fizzy yellow end result was beer. Well, I will not have it. We are striking back for true craft by stealing the pilsner back from their evil clutches, and restoring it to its almighty glory. They do it cheaply. We do it right. Choose vapidity, or choose righteousness...but whatever you do, choose wisely.

Draught @ Fool's Gold. Clear golden with large foamy white head, faint malt aroma, high carbonation, mildly bitter slightly yeasty taste, thin body, medium finish. Quite nice, though a bit different from a premium Pilsner.

Can at L42 – thanks to Fergus. It pours clear pale yellow with a small white head. The aroma is sweet, sweet, corny, hay, cereal and cornbread. The taste is crisp, dry, dull bitterness, cornbread, straw, cereal, grass, a bit pithy, zesty and soapy. Finish has some raw alcohol vibes about it. Light body and fine carbonation. Pretty so-so.

Can shared in London - thanks to Fergus. Pours clear yellow-gold with a small, creamy white head. Pithy citrus in the nose, peach, lemon peel, crackers. Light to medium sweet flavour with more crackery pale malts, pine needles, citrus peel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with with low bitterness, dried pale malts, more pithy and rindy citrus, a hint of alcohol. Not bad.

Can. Archer Road Beer Stop, Sheffield. Pale gold. Very light haze. Lots of fine, fast rising bubbles. Decent cap of white foam. Nose has nicely balanced, sweet biscuit grain, and fruity, melon like hop. Maybe some pine notes. Some ripe citrus. Taste has the same nice balance of sweet, and fruity bitterness. Clean palate. Sharp, burp inducing carbonation. Long, light bitterness to finish. Nice one.

pint can, canned 16/03/2017, BB 16/03/2018.

500 ml can. Pours with a clear golden color and a nice white head. The nose is herbal, hay and grass with citric notes. Slightly malty. Bitter-hoppy taste with hints of hay. Hints of resin. I like the finish.

Tap at Beer Hunters, Pori (Stone Wussie Pils). Slightly hazy yellow colour, medium-sized white head. Hsyish, candy fruity aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish malty front, hay, some fruityness. Feels a bit like an ale. Average.

Can shared with Adamnowek, Erwin and tderoeck. Many thanks, Tim! Hazy yellow colour, typical german Pils taste but with tropical fruitiness. Easy drinkable. Ok.
