Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Bruce. Pours black-brown with a creamy tan head. The nose has charred vanilla beans, cocoa, roast, burnt wood. Medium to big sweet flavor, some dark bread, heavy chocolate, raisins, other dark fruits, mellow earth. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with more chocolate, vanilla, gooey dark malts, raisins. Rich, decadent. Wonderful stuff.

Bottle thanks to Bruce. It pours darkest brown with minimal head. The nose is rich, dark chocolate, fudge, toffee, candy, Scottish tablet and mild roast. The taste is bitter, roasty, earth, some acidity, cocoa, some alcohol, chocolate, fudge and candy with a dry. Full body and fine carbonation. Oily mouth-feel. Great nose, tastes solid also.

22 oz bottle all for myself...big thanks to richiesd. Bottle print says 11.9% ABV. Black color, opaque. Light brown head, mocha-ish, not too much. Aroma’s: roasted malts, lightly sour-ish, light notes of whiskey, woody - aroma’s from the glass are not very strong. Retronasal it’s quite different: whiskey, sweet, vanilla, bourbon, alcohol. Flavor is moderate to full sweet, whiskey, alcohol, roasted. Strong alcohol feel, burning in the throat. Medium to full body. Long finish, warming, roast, chocolate, moderate bitterness. The alcohol burn disappears mostly after letting the bottle stand for a day, leaving the pure B.A. beer. Nice!

Bottle at Beer Hunters. Opaque black color, brown head. Aroma is all espresso! Totally different than others in the series. Full-bodied. Coffee toast, chocolate, some alcohol. Quite different Eclipse. Good.

Bottle shared by Mayur - thanks! Pours opaque black with a small brown head that dissipates quickly with minimal lacing on the glass. Aroma is bourbon, cocoa, with a lot of spicy pepper notes as well. Flavor is very peppery spicy, bourbon, kind of odd actually. Light sweet, light bitter and fairly astringent. Body is really light and watery for the style. Quite hot. Seems like there might be the early stages of an infection working here? Either that, or this is just not good. You decide....

12/II/14 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle with sparkly baby pink wax @ De Hopduvel (Gent) - 2013 vintage - bottle # 1134 (2014-188) Thanks to Bobochamp for sharing the bottle!

Clear very dark purple brown beer, no head. Aroma: very fruity! Lots of cherry and strawberry bubble gum, forest fruit candy, grenadine syrup, sugary, cough syrup, some oranges, alcohol, caramel, burnt toast. MF: no carbon, medium to full body. Taste: soft sweet start, caramel, bit sourish, alcohol, some banana peel, bitter touch, hoppy and a bit sweet, pretty flat and not complex enough though. Aftertaste: bitter touch, some banana peel, caramel, hoppy ending. Was expecting more of this, especially after the amazing smell!
